Last year we hosted our biggest ever SHINE event at Custom House Square, which sold out in a couple of hours.

On Monday at 9am we go even bigger for 2018, and announce the largest ever Shine event in it’s 22 year history! To say we’re excited is an understatement.
Any guesses on who it could be?

Springsteen on Broadway has been extended too June 2018. new shows run from the 28th Feb too 30th June

so its very much like no Springsteen show in Ireland in 2018.

Bruno Mars - Marlay Park July 12th

He brought his 24k Magic tour to Dublin just this past April, but Bruno Mars will return to Ireland with an open-air gig next summer.

The Hawaiian pop star will play Marlay Park on July 12th, just one of six European dates he's undertaking next summer.

Tickets are from €79.50 and on sale from usual outlets this coming Monday, December 4th at 9am.

Marlay park is a nightmare venue, pity he couldn't do the three arena again

Basically they plan out the size of the stage and rigs needed around the venue and realise that they don't need as much space as reserved and have space for x more standing spots or x more seats.

If it's seats they can be very good as they can end up close (depending on the venue) or standing is just more standing tickets.

15th is a Friday. Leaves the Saturday open for either a second night or a second band *cough*Stones*cough*

Stadium shows have stages that are quite complex. They can take a few days to assemble and 1 or 2 days to take down. I doubt it they would have another act play on the same weekend

The stones could be late May or early June. no concerts after Buble cause matches will take over from then on til September and the pope has his mass there mid Aug ???

possibly the Stones could play the Aviva or Slane or skip us all togehter.

no sign of the foos playing here

Highly likely he’ll take this to the West End for a few months before he even thinks about going back on a “proper” tour I’d say.

Actually, he’ll probably take time to make another album before he heads back on the road (High Hopes was four years ago!) so it could be a while.

latest on the Rolling stones tour plans for 2018 is that there rumours there planning an Austrailan tour for late summer (March/April down there) and given there age it's doubtful they will tour 2 different continents in the one year

Yeah, I'm a bit surprised they haven't announced a date for next summer yet, though there's plenty of time for them to announce a June gig in the Aviva.

I was wondering if there's any guesses as who would feature at Longitude in July? I would hazard a guess at Lorde or The Killers headlining, possibly looking at St. Vincent, Wolf Alice or Oh Wonder featuring in the undercard? It's hard guessing when the festival's profile is fairly unpredictable, but skews young.

It Takes a Village - new festival announced for Cork this morning.

Running April 13-15 at Trabolgan Holiday Village.

Young Fathers, Andrew Weatherall and Fujiya & Miyagi among the first acts announced.

Tickets, including accommodation, start at €205 though.

I think you're going to be disappointed. Longitude has had underwhelming lineups for a few years now, and is aiming younger and younger (or I'm getting older). It sells out every year recently so no need to invest in the Killers
