    Hi,

I was told on the phone by a member of intreo that she would lift a suspension on my payments because I am applying for disability allowance even though Im not fit for work atm.

She asked me how I was able to get paid into a bank for 2 years and I explained I was on BTEA. She then stated that because I am applying for DA that I will be allowed to keep my JA payments up until a decision on my DA application was made. I told her I would not be able to get to Post Office in my physical condition and I'm sure she stated it will continue into my bank so.

But the payment did not arrive in my bank today (Thurs)

I know I need to call them about it but I wondered if there are any other days that payments are made into a bank such as Illness Benefit or Disability Allowance? It may be that it's not registered as JA anymore so the day might change?

    Anyone experience this?

It would still be classed as JA until DA is granted. You wouldn't be in receipt of illness benefit without your knowledge, as you would of had to get a form from your GP every week. I'd give them a ring in the morning to see why the payment didn't appear. It is unusual though to get JA in the bank so it may have went to the post office. In that case I'm nearly sure it was Tuesday it should have been collected.

Edit Just realised it's Friday. Give them a ring Monday morning!
