    In your opinion.

Plenty of people share that opinion or FF wouldn't be back up in the polls.

Thomas Byrne didn't fare well either. Claire Daly, though not my political persuasion, really ahead of the posse.

Wrong time of the year to go for an election, people dont want to be hit with canvassing at this time of year or have to worry about the result.

No more door to door/face to face canvassing, its time for social media canvassing, sure Leo loves the tweeter :P

That was gas on Prime Time. The presenter took Murphys bait and wanted to deflect to making it all about SF and was clearly told in his headphones to shut up. Hilarious stuff.

To be fair,we have no evidence of anything that may or may not have been said in earphones
Murphy simply stood by his (wo)man and in doing so said Mary Lou was the kettle calling the pot blackar5e if she's saying turning a blind eye is a reason for stepping downas it never happened in Sinn Fėin

Regardless an unnecessary election is ahead
FF have no choice but to do this because of SF's move,it's as clear as day
It's actually SF bringing on the election

    What happens next,anybody's guess

Not liking FG because they dont tell them they will have to pay no tax if elected is not a valid political opinion

What utter nonsense, everyone knows they have to pay tax.

Disaster for Murphy on primetime. He's looked awful weak. I feel sorry for homeless people if this guys the answer to the housing crisis.

if varadkar really put the country first, he would ask fitzgerald to step down, and get on with running the country just as we are at a critical stage with brexit. we could have a new tanaiste (hands up who thinks fitzgerald was doing a sterling job? anyone?) and keep the government ticking over. if fitzgerald cared more about the running of the country she would resign. but she doesnt. she only cares about keeping her position. thats more important than mccabe, and you and I.

so is the pattern becoming obvious? party before country. always been, always will.

And somebody is subverting the legal situation still. Those pages not sent to the DOJ and GSOC, missing???
Having to go back to the source, (stenographer) to get the crucial hour where O'Higgins debunked the attempt to smear McCabe, having listened to the tape.
    Someone has serious reach.

His spin about the homeless "stats" are a more befitting reason for Leo to be toppled!

I think sf will suffer for this. Forcing a needless election for the sake of being seen to be the big men.

    Id love a general election.

    Give sf a chance.

They care so much about the gardai they resort to murdering them.

They also arent far enough removed from Jarry's shadow to be seen as a legitimate choice yet by a lot of people

If there is an election, it would seem to be more Varadkars failure to ditch a clearly winged minister, though I suspect it might be more of a calculation that he might improve the seat count thats behind it.

Lol. Minster is at best incompetent and possible worse. Why bother having an opposition if they can’t call BS on this ?

With the most popular leader by some margin.

No one wants an election, and especially at this time of year.

Fitzgerald should do the decent thing and resign she's only destroying her own party's credentials by staying on.

They'll be doing the nation a great service if we have an election.

Simon Harris frantically coaching Frances and Murphy red in the face with anger because he couldn't land a punch were two abiding images today.

The gloss is coming off Leo's government very quickly.

There'll be no election IMO. The way this is all unravelling Leo won't risk it.

Let's face it SF have never been consistent in support of An Garda Siochana, and that's being kind about their general attitude towards the force over a number of decades......

Yeh... With us staring blaringly into brexit the last thing we need is a change of the guard so to speak.

Thinking about it after that explosive Prime Time I wonder does somebody have a hold on Leo. Why not just sack her?

really think its a case of varadkar not being a firm leader. hes backed fitzgerald enough. she is the one that "forgot" she seen an email.made him look really stupid. shes incompetent or a liar. why does the country deserve her as a tanaiste? bit far fetched to be blaming SF FF or labour for this.

Mary Lou has all the facets for standing in for Al Porter in the Panto. Not sure what the show is but she has the old Dame look to a tee

Not enough to govern on their own without significant help, maybe with FF again? Doubtful.
