Fast drone with a "Follow Me" Feature

    Hey All,

    Been thinking about purchasing a drone since they first came out, but never really though about what I'd use it for.

    I follow some guys on Youtube that have drone vids.
    I've scene recently that the Drones now have a "Follow Me" feature

    IE They will follow you around and keep the camera focused on you.
    This appeals a lot to me. In particular for next year or the year after for Holidays on the Motorcycle, might be nice to get a few vids on some of the mountain passes. Problem is the Drones I've looked at are "Slow" max speed of 40-50kph.

    I'd need something that can do at least 70-80kph.

    Any recommendations? I know very little about them
    Budget isn't something to worry about, I'll save up to buy the "Right" one.

    Auto tracking and 80kph?

    Sit in the passenger seat of a car, point your phone directly out the left window and ask the driver to do 80. Then record. What you'll probably get is anything close is a total blur.

    The camera on the drone would have similar issues, and then have to do image recognition on that. Its asking a lot.



    FPV drones are fast enough, but fly for less time and will require a pilot with line of sight to the drone to maintain connection.

    I'd think you would have to be FPV for that. Which means somebody else would be driving the vehicle.

    One of the drone specialists will be along shortly to provide some better information.

    Need the "follow me" feature, otherwise there is no point.

    Maybe it doesn't need to be so fast now that I think about it.
    I'll be going on mountain roads with loads of switch backs, hairpin turns and bendy roads etc.

    Drone will probably be able to keep up as it doesnt need to worry about obstacles in the road etc
