Samsung Galaxy tablets the best for kids?

Hi folks

I'm in the market for a couple of tablets for my two boys (8yr old & 5yr old). Currently I'm considering either a Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6 inch, a Asus ZenPad 10 or a Lenovo Tab 4 8.

Before speaking to sales staff in tech shops such as PC World, I had assumed in my head that my decision should be influenced by the specs more than the brand name. However a sales guy in PC World claims that Samsung is the only option, particularly in the case of tablets for kids, as they are easy to use etc. He went on to say Asus specialise in motherboards, and Lenovo specialise in laptops, and both brands should be avoided in the case of tablets.

Is this the case?

Also does anyone have any different recommendations?. My budget is up to €150 per tablet.

why not get amazon fire tablet for 36 euro ? my kids 7 and 9 have them and happy out.

A couple of years ago we bought a cheap (approx €100) Hannspree tablet which had very little storage, terrible screen resolution and poor battery life, and as a result it was hardly ever used. Hence I want to get an upgrade on that as a minimum.

I don't know anything about the Amazon Fire tablet, but at €36, I would imagine the specs aren't great?

well battery is brilliant....plenty power for anything a 9 yr old can throw at it ( mainly youtube / movies /few games from app store )
also hold up well to rough and tumble of a child

main drawback is the amazon fire operating system but you can side load other etc if you choose

It’ll be Android tablets I’ll be buying, but thanks for your advice poitinstill.

Anyone else have any views / advice?

Just bought a Samsung tab A 10.1" for €199 in DID.
Good tablet and they are reduced from €270

should have clarified amazon fire operating system is android just amazon'ed up a bit ..

Most tablets can be hit and miss the Asus nexus 7 and it's follow up were considered one of the best you could get ,
My wife had a Samsung that was replaced 5 times in under a year ,other people sware by them ,
The same with Lenovo or other brands
