Othegre declares her intention to follow the Dwarf in the name of Jammai the rapturous. Moving through the group, she slaps Moy on the back.
"Don't feel too glum, Chum. It's a lot of pressure, you know, on you. To perform. I mean I have it easy, my Lady's hand curves rainbows and stings bees. I just have to stand here and take credit. But what has your god given you? Shame... And this damned ring that won't stay on... just...Don't blame yourself, 'k?"

She moves over to Xanthea to examine her wounds.

"I think that's within my power to heal, if you like. But first, for medicinal purposes, could I take some readings on your injury with this wooden uh... Wound measuring stick?"

After searching through the forest for her wayward crossbow bolt, she heads back to the group to hear the discussion about directions.

'Aye, and I'll be going along with ye, lad. I may as well tell ye all. There is a saint's tomb there which is said to bestow a blessing on any fighter or dwarf that should seek it.'

Bandylegs hesitates a moment as he is wary of those he has informed watching him.

'And more than that, I have solid knowledge that within the tomb there is vast treasure. Ye fight well, would be good to have yer swords and bows with us on the journey.'

The treasure is there, I had it confirmed to me by three sources. I expect there will be danger afoot to reach it, but an equal share is yers if ye choose to join me. I have made that promise to everyone I have tol' so far, and I intend to keep it.'

I intend to follow you Mr Bandy as long as you keep your promises. I will remind you however that we agreed that I would have a 3 way split of any treasure found. Not an equal share as you say. So I will have one third of any treasure found in the Thurmunton temple.

Bandylegs sighs and mutters to himself

'Why do I deal with some of these people?'

    He then regards Elin.

'Aye, that was when there were three of us, lass. If ye want the full third ye can take it up wit the res'. I've kept me promise as best I can so far, don't tarry over the small details.'

OOC: I knew dealing with the thief would come back to bite me :P

This blessing I wonder if it works on my kind.
I have doubts that a dwarven god will have any blessing for my kind anyway, fighter or not. I would suggest that we go on the dragons job first and then return by way of the temple. Splitting the band before we even take on the job that we've been paid to do seems...shortsighted. And the key-bearer must come with us.

Thank you for the offer, Othegre, but I am happy that my wound will sort itself out. I’ll survive to Thurmunton in any case.

OOC: Keep that demon stick away from me!

Bandylegs looks worried and acknowledges the elf.

'Thurmonton is only a short ride from here. Cantry is a number of days. Xanthea over there looks like she could do with a hot bath and a stiff drink after dealing admirably with these...beasts. I suggest we at least ride for Thurmonton and discuss it further once there.'

Bandylegs tries to reach out to Citra with his mind.

'Citra, it appears the elf may prove problematic. Have you any suggestions to placate him.'

OOC: Not even sure if speaking to Citra will work, but I'll give it a go.

My agreement was not with the rest of the group. My agreement was with you. And you agreed that I would have one third of the treasure. If you wish to dilute your third that is up to you. But you agreed with me that it was a 3 way split. I will hold you to that dwarf.

Unfortunately this 'key bearer' is going to Thurmunton. Make of that what you will.
Askit didn't give us a timescale for returning with his blood therefore he can wait until we return. Whenever that may be.

And how long will it take for for any survivors of the temple quest to proceed to our goal?
I don't have time for detours and Xanthea can suck on my wineskin if her need is pressing. My debts are many and my time is short. I say we press on together to the tower. We know there is treasure in the tower, we only have vague hints from Brandylimbs here as to the contents of the tomb.

You'll risk the ire of both a Dragon and a Devil for a mere sidequest? And here I thought I was the gambler. You are playing high stakes for a small pot.

    Bandylegs grows angrier.

'There'll be no ire from the Dragon if we tarry in Thurmonton, you have my word on that. As fer the tomb itself, my information be good, elf. Now, I'm not sittin' round here arguing with ye. I'll meet those of ye interested in Thurmonton. HI Shadowflame, away!'

Bandylegs climbs onto his horse and makes haste in the direction of Thurmonton, not caring if anyone follows him or not at this point.

Othegre shakes her charm and holds it up to her ear.
"Whats that? Really? Ok, I'll tell them."
    She addresses Saeros :
"the keybearer is going to Thurmonton. And she's getting a full third of everything that's coming to us".
She turns to Elin, a wicked grin on her face.
    "everything."

Othegre mounts Clipclop and urges her onwards, following the Dwarf.
"Hey Clipclop. Have we eaten today? We'll figure it out on the way..."

"I'm not taking on the Thurmonton Temple with just Bandylegs and this little selfish young girl, when we have a large party here. That would be utterly foolish. And I will not be part of a larger party going in where this puny lilte girls gets one third of all the spoils. I'd rather to go straight to the tower too now, but I do want to go via Thurmonton nonetheless."

“Alas, if that is where the group is going...”

Xanthea remounts the horse and follows after the group.

We can argue this later. But I will be taking my third when the time comes.
[OOC: Elin will not be letting this go. She will steal her perceived third of the treasure in the temple]

I do not agree that the dragon will reprimand us for tardiness. He did not give us a timeframe therefore we will return when we have completed all of our tasks.

Elin mounts her horse and follows Bandylegs down the road at a gentle canter.

“Alas, if that is where the group is going...”

Xanthea remounts the horse and follows after the group.

Noticing Xanthea coming down the trail, Bandylegs slows his horse until she is caught up as Ekbard steams past.

'You mean to follow us, warrior queen. Good. You seem to have knowledge of Askit and Citra. Tell me, is it wise to cross them? I entered into a deal with Citra for the coin we have all used. My head is telling me to honour my end of the bargain...'

OOC : If Xanthea caught up, I caught up. And I'm nosy.

"Oooooh a deal with a dragon! what did you give her? Your service? your soul?"

OOC : If I recall correctly, it's only Bandy's share that gets Citra-taxed. So... the smaller his share gets, the better for the group? Also, ancient proverb say 'it's pretty hard to steal a load of gold with 2 broken hands and a vampire pencil in your neck.'

Have you ever seen someone who has angered a dragon live long to tell the tale? I haven’t.

I know Citra long enough to know she is slow to anger, and I have never seen her angry. I have heard tidings of maps having to be rewritten after one resident of one village got on the wrong side of her. Does that tell you enough?

As for Askit? He chained a devil into this world. What do you think he can do to a “mere mortal” if you’ll excuse the term?

Essentially, we’ve made agreements with them to one extent or another, and, if you want my opinion, it would be wise to live up to those agreements, or die trying, though I have no intention of the latter *rubs leg*

Bandylegs, not noticing Othegre until she speaks wheels around in shock.

'Deal? Aye... I made a deal for the coin with Askit and Citra. The price is mine to bear alone, worry not.'

Bandylegs turns back to Xanthea, his face ashen.

'Aye. I made a promise and I intend to stick to it. As I was sayin to Othegre, the deal is mine alone. Fear not. Unless ye try to cheat the dragon outta her gold that is.'

'Oy, magick man - these be better served with ye than me. They're all gobbledy-gook to a dwarf, but to a man of yer talents it should be of interest. Careful who ye share those with lad, the warrior queen is an acolyte of Askit and may not be too happy I took em.'
