Xanthea slumps in the saddle a little, starting to feel the pain in her leg. It's only a minor wound though, and she gets down off Shapsberg to tend to feeding the horse and herself. There is no need to go charging through the others who are well capable of tidying up the last zombie.

Ekbard launches an attack right back at the zombie

Othegre swings her promotional pencil at the zombie's head - "drink deep, my sanguinous friend, drink deep!"

Seeing the last zombie wounded and outnumbered I turn my attention to rounding up any stray horses and settling them down while I continue to scan the surrounding woods for any other movements.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

The pencil lands firmly in the zombie's skull and a light breeze rushes through the crossroads.

The pencil glows a deep red as the zombie's head is drained to a pale sickly colour, it struggles to break free, but another arrow from Goodie slams into its leg keeping it in place until the pencil has drunk its fill. The pencil is consumed with rage, intoxicating Othegre with its bloodlust. No mere whim was this, but prophetic knowledge from the lady, Donnie had no idea what was in his possession.

As the zombie collapses to the ground, Othegre feels the rage ebb and is left to contemplate the foul purpose for which the pencil was forged and why she was chosen to be its companion.

Truly the gods test us all.

its a bit dark but we should look for treasure, its my experiance that zombies are basically guard dogs.

OOC: This would be a good time to have in-character dialogue to determine who is going to Thurmunton or Cantry. I'll give the treasure in the morning, I'm off to the bed.

Hey Demon rider your fame in Citra's city spread like wild fire. Tales of how you rode a demon
and of how you were given 1,000gold for our quest.
Since we are to now decide on our paths I'll hace my share now.
: goodie sits tall innthe saddle and holds out his hand.

    Xanthea turns to the group...

"Maybe you are not as bad a group as originally thought. There is some skill here, and *looks at Othegre* some very... curious intrigue. At least we are in mostly one piece."

"Yet here we find ourselves at a crossroads. Thurmunton one way, Cantry the other, unless we just turn back. You know my word on this. My duty is to Askit, and to Citra. It is not wise to upset a dragon, as you well know, Bandylegs! I must ensure that we are successful in that regard, and will go through whatever place we pass through. I will leave it to you to decide"

Where did the Dragon bid us to go? I'll not go anywhere else, I gave my name!

"Askits quest is to bring back gods blood from a tower 2 days into the wakelands. the wakelands is over bligh mountains. there are two roads to blight mountains, one via thurmonton and a forest, the other via cantry and what i hears is a peaceful enough road as long as you do not annoy the locals."

    Bandylegs nods at Ekbard.

'Aye, and I'll be going along with ye, lad. I may as well tell ye all. There is a saint's tomb there which is said to bestow a blessing on any fighter or dwarf that should seek it.'

Bandylegs hesitates a moment as he is wary of those he has informed watching him.

'And more than that, I have solid knowledge that within the tomb there is vast treasure. Ye fight well, would be good to have yer swords and bows with us on the journey.'

Sound man, my father fought in the plauge wars and always talked of the riches of Thurmonton and of its dangers, you are either brave or stupid or both but I believe I shall travel with you to Thurmonton.

This blessing I wonder if it works on my kind.

"Red... the incessant pulse... My head.. Such primal rage... that.... Felt.... AMAZING!"

She pulls out the pencil with a queasy sluuuurp and cleans it off on the zombie's ragged garb.

"Oh, we are going to be such good friends!" She softly runs the top of the pencil along Clipclop's nose. "Did you feel it too? Didja, girl? Are you a girl? I never thought to check? Would it be rude to check? Maybe I'll spare my back, the halflings will probably be able to tell me...

She takes out the cursed mace and systematically goes zombie to zombie smashing their skulls with a few quick swings and frisking them. She pauses every now and again, making mystical looking hand gestures over the gore-encrusted mace head and strains for any indication that it's attracting any supernatural attention.

'I know not, little one. It was told to me by a dwarf of the same volition as meself. He said fighters and dwarves.. but there's only one way to fin' out. The treasure is there, I had it confirmed to me by three sources. I expect there will be danger afoot to reach it, but an equal share is yers if ye choose to join me. I have made that promise to everyone I have tol' so far, and I intend to keep it.'

Ekbard sits and enjoys a ration and some mulled wine from his waterskin. Afterwards, Ekbard puts the waterskin and the rest of his rations in his cart.
