    I found a case there where a chap got 8months for an ass slap. However it was a far more sinister situation as she was alone and he followed her for 15mins making it closer to an attack.
    Porters accusations also include joke theft. As in look him all famous and he a joke stealing bum pincher....

    So I dunno... He just sounds like a durty f**ker that thought homosexual groping is something acceptable to straight people and he has just got the answer

    It is a stage name as far as I know. I actually think it's quite clever if you were trying to come up with a surname that hints at Irishness for the uk market, porter is a decent one.

    Anyone who has any sympathy for him after that apology needs their head examined.

    Shoving his hands down someone's pants and grabbing their dick was just in keeping with his "flamboyant and outrageous public persona", in what he had regarded as "light hearted and good natured circumstances". Fúck off you complete twat.

    You couldn't turn on the TV or radio for about two weeks without hearing entire panels of people attacking George Hook and Kevin Myers in the aftermath of their remarks. Words.

    It was all over the newspapers and internet and even the Taoiseach got involved.

    They were hounded relentlessly until they were either fired or suspended.

    Al Porter, whose actions are far more serious, has gotten the kids gloves treatment in the media by comparison.

    The actions of hook and Myers were recorded in public and irrefutable, those of Porter are alleged and unproven.

    George Hook clumsily expressed a thought. Al Porter allegedly sexually abused a number of people. George Hook was raked over the coals for expressing an unpopular opinion, tried by social media.

    Also, Porter has already started losing work so it has already kicked in. It was more than a week before George Hook lost his lunchtime slot on Newstalk.

    No it’s simpler then that.
    Hook and Myers are white straight men and Hook has the added problem of being a Christian .

    Hook has no connection to Porter at all except they were both on the radio. They were even on different stations. You might as well compare Porter with Conor McGregor. The constant whataboutery by Hook defenders is pretty sad.

    And if these allegations are true, Porter is of course just as much a predator as Kevin Spacey and Weinstein.

    Porter and Hook/Myers stories aren't even in the same category.

    The latter two were just loud mouths who made totally inappropriate comments and were rightly punished.

    Porters alleged actions are criminal and if true he could be facing time in jail.

    One said something that some people didn't like. Cue mass hysteria in the media

    The other has likely committed criminal offences of a sexual nature. Suddenly the moral outrage brigade have lost their voices.

    That is what we are talking about.
