The board have to accept some responsibility... They could have bought him a magic hat or something.

McInnes is your man, lads, takes Aberdeen out of second place and brings in someone who can put manners on Jack again,... presumably.

He signed a new deal in the summer though. Have they the money to pay off Pedro and the back room, then pay big compensation for McInnes??

Chris Sutton said as much, though he's clearly not a fan of Rangers, he's right when he said whoever appointed the last manager shouldn't be anywhere near this appointment.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

Our serious money has come from the diaspora or Irish investment. Their money is usually locally sourced.

You're right, it is down to whether these deep-pocketed rangers-minded guys have the steel, or scrap-metal, for that matter, to put their money where their mouths are. Time will tell.

    They won’t be

    They won’t be

I'm not being contrary for the sake of it but - what makes you think this?

One thing I think has characterised Rangers troubles the last few years has been a massive inability to accept responsibility and learn from mistakes.

Coupled with a strong stubbornness from some supporters - which allows club management to dodge valid criticism. is a recipe for disaster

McInnes would be mad to take the job. Probably a case of right job, wrong time for him. On and off the pitch, Rangers are in a mess right now. I can't think of a single manager in world football capable of turning that around to the satisfaction of the fans in the short term, which in all likelihood is all any manager will get.

As for Pedro. Has any manager ever successfully introduced 8/9 new first team players to a squad and achieved short term success? It as a poison chalice

Simply because Mark Allen will be responsible it is part of his remit as DOF also one of the parties involved in hiring Pedro has had his knuckles rapped. I find it hilarious that people forget other clubs that have bled management teams because they got it wrong. It happens

    Team for today

RANGERS: Foderingham, Tavernier, McCrorie, Wilson, John, Candeias, Jack, Holt, Miller, Windass, Morelos.
SUBS: Kelly, Hodson, Bates, Barjonas, Herrera, Hardie, Kranjcar.

Hearing Miller is captain not happy about that to be honest if it is true

Lafferty puts Hearts one up with a decent free kick. Honestly feel the wall should have done more

Miller equalises with a good goal after being put through by Morelos 1-1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,704 ✭✭✭Broxi_Bear_Eire

Miller with his second. Great ball in from Tav and Miller finishes 2-1

    Always rated Miller. :pac:

Inch perfect pass by Miller, Windass finishes it. 1-3 to the Gers :D

Playing well this half. The key passes for our last two goals were top drawer. Miller playing out of his skin.

Should have jumped. Not sure they would have blocked it though. Was a brilliant free kick.

Agreed but they should have tried

All over happy with the performance overall the players looked happier than I have seen in a long time

1-3. A nice end to a difficult week and a good performance by the team. Miller was MOTM but there were a good few candidates for that honour.

Jacks red card v Kilmarnock rescinded and rightly so. Three red cards two rescinded I despair at the Refereeing in Scotland

Maybe ask questions of why the 4th official thought it necessary to advise the ref it was a red then.

McCrorie opens the scoring, cracking header.

Was vet at the game played well after about 15 minutes there seems to be a nervousness in some players when they run out onto the Ibrox pitch.
We also need to stop taking our foot off the gas we went into a 3-0 lead and you could see the players stopping all their good play

    Team for today versus Hamilton

RANGERS: Foderingham; Tavernier, McCrorie, Wilson, Hodson; Candeias, Holt, Jack, Windass; Miller, Morelos.
SUBS: Alnwick, Bates, Hardie, Barjonas, Herrera, Kranjcar, Nemane.

Hodson in for John who is sick

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,046 ✭✭✭Berserker

Nightmare of a game today. As the game progressed you could just sense that they were going to score. Think that result rules out Murty for the managers job.

It’s hard to know who is the right man for the job, maybe McInnes?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,704 ✭✭✭Broxi_Bear_Eire

Out of the running now. Hard to know who is right for the job. Good few people seem to want someone who understands the club to take charge for the rest of the season. McLeish is popping up a good bit.
