Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

so the bdo boys done even worse than i predicted
    terrible stuff

durrant head and shoulders above the rest

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,882 ✭✭✭sc86

6 out of the 8 bdo players got out of the group last year.

Durrant is class as we know. McGeeny is world number 1. Menzies is on fire this year too. Danny noppert is a serious talent too wholl be shaking up the pdc next year. Machin in form latley too.Mitchell and Montgomery have it all to do. Id fancy at least 4 bdo players in semis

    howd that go :D

4 BDO players in the semis would mean no pdc players in the semis lol

Slightly arrogant interview from Durrant after he beat Chizzy - ''give me a tour card and I'll come over''

    Couple of interesting ties tonight:

7.15pm Daryl Gurney v James Wade
8.15pm Phil Taylor v Darren Webster
9.15pm Michael van Gerwen v Steve Lennon
10.15pm Raymond van Barneveld v Rob Cross

thats taking what he said out of context
did you hear the full interview?

the problem is he has signed a contract with the bdo that if he gets to semi final or final of lakeside
he does not get prize money if he leaves to do q school

Poor enough night last night entertainment wise bar the last game. Cross looks like the real deal and seems to be much more relaxed on TV now. Should be a good game between himself and MvG.

By the way I agree with whoever posted earlier in the thread about the how the draw is done, it's ridiculous that Cross and MvG are meeting again in the quarter finals. They should not be able to meet again until the final like all other logical sporting competitions.

    Double 12 away from A 9 darter

Thought your dart couldn’t be counted if it falls out?

I think if the ref 'scores it' before it falls it's ok?

If its still in the board before you pull out the other darts it counts.

prime example tonight of how duzza may struggle if he joins the pdc
the big games on big nights - he folded tonight and again a below par peter wright
    a worry for him

    anderson be hard bet now

If its still in the board before you pull out the other darts it counts.

Well in tonights instances it fell before he got to the board (Mensur had to pick them off the ground) but just as or marginally after the ref was calling the score.
Doesn't seem easy to find the actual pdc rule book online, but would guess Russ Bray knows it backwards.

Why Anderson got so bad over the board being changed? Surely it makes no difference, New boards for every game anyway?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,045 ✭✭✭✭gramar

If Gurney avoids getting drawn into Phil's games and keeps the crowd off his back he should win.

Not a hope gurney wins, Taylor's in his head since the interview other night. Gurney straight on to Twitter defending himself
