Wow just binge watched this over the last two days and all I can say is what a fantastic show really laugh out loud at it Goggins and McBride are perfect together it's a shame it's only going to be two seasons. Love it can't wait for Season 2 next month.
It probably appeals to me as a big Step Brothers fan. I haven't watched Eastbound and down but might start watching that next.

McBride's character has a lot of similarities,v but that's just McBride being McBride like he always is, but Eastbound and Down is great, Kenny ****ing Powers!

Brilliant! Won't be watching it until tomorrow night, but I'm looking forward to it. McBride and Goggins work really well together.

Huge fan of McBride. I like how Vice Principals goes against the typical US tv show format and restricts itself to two seasons. There's no running the show into the ground. Eastbound and Down was two seasons longer, but it still didn't outstay it's welcome. Two excellent shows; some of the few modern tv comedies where I find myself laughing out loud.

So good. The first two episodes of the new season are nearly better than anything in the first season!

That was another fantastic episode this week I was wondering why one of Lee’s sisters looked familiar and then I recognised her she plays Lou Brady’s co-worker and friend from Mr Mercedes.

I'd only watched 3 episodes of Mercedes right before watching it tonight and said to myself I know her from somewhere :o

Another great episode last night I know it’s funny but it still has great heart and likeable charecters with Gamby doing the right thing to help Russell! Great TV!

Great stuff pity there is only 3 episodes left.

Reckon Ray will be revealed as the one who shot Gamby

One of the best episodes in the series last night. That right scene was fcking brilliant! I've a sensor feeling that abott is the killer even though some have said it might be ray. Either way, we'll be surprised to see who it is

    The fight scene was excellent.

It was brilliant all right! I have a feeling Gabby's crazy ex girlfriend might be the shooter and planted the mask and weapon in Lee's car last week.
Looking forward to the final episode next week, but kind of Sad as well because it has been such a funny series.

That was pretty much the perfect series finale for me.

What a show. As a fan of Eastbound and Down (in my Top 5 all-time shows, its rewatchability is amazing) I was wary when I first heard of the concept of this show. I simply wanted more EB+D, or something very close to it. However, I've been gradually falling in love with Vice Principals as each episode went by.

Sorry to see it go, but it was quality from start to finish and it's been great. As for events of the finale...
The reveal was obvious for the last few episodes, and that is perfect on this occasion, in this kind of show. Sure, VP could be labelled by some as a comedy, but that would be misplaced. It's a drama, very dark at times, with comedy elements. Sort of like real life.

Abbot makes perfect sense. Russell would have too. Anyone else, like Ray, Gale, the school canteen cook, that would have been totally for shock value, giving you a 'Wow' for about 2 seconds and then completely falling apart when you think about it. With Abbott, or Russell, it makes sense and will make even more sense when rewatching the series with that knowledge.

Gamby got the principal's chair, if not the one he wanted, and got the girl. The girl, Snodgrass, got to be an author, but not one who is likely to win the Booker Prize. Russell got his job in fashion, after demonstrating a keen interest in it throughout the series, but he's still likely going home to his big empty house and has likely no friends or respect from colleagues. Gamby got the girl alright, but still zones out and daydreams about his old friend Russell while enjoying the company of the girl. There's good and there's bad, sort of like real life.

Speaking about that final scene in the mall, it reminded me of the final scene of The Dark Knight Rises when Alfred spots Bruce in Italy. Deliberate or not, I liked it.

Finally - The feels from seeing Stevie Janowski show up (Gamby's new VP) are hard to put into words. EB+D fans will know. It's one of the best 'Easter Eggs' or 'nod to the fans' I've seen in any medium of fiction.

So I was originally hoping that Danny McBride and Jody Hill would create EB+D mark 2. Instead, they created Vice Principals mark 1. I now eagerly anticipate anything they choose for their next TV project. Hopefully there will be another, and soon. 'So long' Vice Principals.

Yes what a perfect ending to a fantastic show 18 episodes of pure joy for me I got a bit teary in a couple of scenes in the finale, I haven’t watched East Bound and Down but I sure as hell will now! Hats off to McBride and Goggins for making a great onscreen partnership and yes that scene the first thing I thought of was TDKR!

It really was the perfect ending! They couldn't have done it any better. Snodgrass looked hot after the fight with abbott.
And Stevie Janowski making an appearance was the icing on the cake, i only wished he featured a bit more.

Edi Patterson knocked it out of the park in this series for me , loved her psycho character.

Great finish to a great TV Show, Goggins is gold in nearly everything he's in, I can't think of a bad show he's been in, the Sons being the best of course.

Absolutely brilliant, will really miss it. ****ing Stevie!!!!! EB&D is one of my favourite comedies and The Shield is my favourite show of all time so I was really looking forward to McBride and Goggins, their chemistry was just gold.

Can't wait for their next venture and really recommend watching The Shield if anyone has become a fan of Goggins from this.

    So long VP..
