True but if your in the market for a tv, its a good price for a smart tv all the same

Are referral links allowed on boards?

    Resolution isn't great at 1366 x 768.

hard to tell the difference on a 32" set tbh when you're sitting 6 feet+ away from it.

Of course, no dispute there. Personally, I'd be inclined to go for this for a few bob more. 1080P, smart plus wifi enabled.

I literally want this for Netflix as a secondary TV, any reason I shouldn't buy it?

Gonna get one of these today, has anyone got one yet here? It’s for the kids playroom, just need it to connect via WiFi and a couple of games consoles

JVC speakers are crap. However, in my opinion, the worst things about all TVs in general, is their speaker systems. So for any TV, I would suggest to just get a set of 2.1 speakers to connect up to it and would do the same for this JVC, then all is well. Of course, this depends on your preference as well and if you say it's only for kid's playroom, maybe it's fine for the kids. Make sure to check it out in-store if possible.

Got it last week. Have only used Netflix and only briefly but it's grand. Good picture and sound quality. Easy set up and connected to Wi-Fi no problem. Tv is about 15m from basic eircom router.

Yep I'd wonder about that price - bought the 40inch version about a year and a half ago for 349?
Okay TV - the smart part is hit and miss for me, often times telling you, you're not connected to the internet when you are.

Thanks for the info, picked one up in the retail park beside Liffey Valley, salesman told me that they sold 300 of those tv’s last week. Then tried to sell me expensive HDMI cables and insurance.

It’s cheap and cheerful and if the kids break it, so be it.

The only problem is it is 720P

grand for the kids I guess

is netflix loaded on this where you can get it from the remote control

Not sure what you mean by loaded. There's a specific Netflix button on the remote. Press it and it connects and brings you to the Netflix home page. Use the remote arrows to toggle between options/films/etc.

They've been around the 200e mark for years now. Looks like they haven't change the design in 5 years

It's a bargain for it's size, 200 quid for a quality smart tv is a fine price, bought one for the living room here :)

Can anyone tell me if there's HD lag (input lag) on it when it comes to games consoles? Some TV's make playing games unplayable.

Anybody have any problems with the remote control on this?

Remote only works when up close to the TV. Anything more than a metre away and it won't work. Nothing blocking the sensor.

    Have you tried fresh batteries?

I wouldn't be using the remote from much more than 2m but no issues for me

Yeah, tried that first. Will try figure out how to reset the telly before contacting the shop.

No idea what it could be.

Other than the remote, would you recommend the Tv. Thinking of getting one for the spare room. Don't think I could go wrong for that price.

    TIA kat1170

I use it for Netflix and Xbox with no issues. Like you said, for that price...

My JVC smart TV came with region on UK. When I go on the JVC market I can't get Rte player. My question is can you change the region on these TVs?

I don’t think you can get RTE Player on it either way.
