Hi Liz39... that's great news what county are you.

I'm Cork. I chose Cork and Limerick for grade 3 and 4 campaign. But only been called for Cork grade 3 so far. I did breathe a sigh of relief yesterday!

Not having to through this campaign is great as it seems such a long and drawn out thing. Well done

Hello, It went exactly as they described in the booklet that arrived in the post with the interview time. They were very nice, made me feel relaxed and it was over very quickly. It started exactly on time and finished exactly 25 mins later. They asked the questions they said would be asked and most of the answers given were what was in my application form. They told me before one question that they wanted an answer that was different from the app form (another example basically). It was about planning an organising.

Any advice I would give is to read the information pages 6&7 which you received in the post with your interview time and know your application form inside out. They knew mine as if they knew me. They know their stuff about you before you enter the room. And have another example (just try and think of what you do on a daily basis and keep it simple) - Best of luck

I'm also working as TCO for the last 2 years. My contract was extended another 2 years yesterday and I was told I would be permanent then so I think it's been raised to 4 years from 3 for permanency 😩 Maybe you started before me though and there is different ruling for you. I also did 5 months agency in same role unbroken so I must find out if that is included in the 4 years or not!
I also did 6 months agency. Will be 3 years there this month- officially with hse 2.5 years.
My manager said 3 years.... So was just hanging on six more months. They still advised going for this interview as who knows what may happen.
Have been covering many areas for most of my time, but got a proper area/desk / responsibility 2 months ago. Will be going for specialised training in a few weeks with more responsibility. Have been told my job is safe.... Who the f knows though....

Anyone know when the Meath people are likely to be called for interview? My wife did the exam while pregnant, our boy is almost walking at this stage and nothing....

Hopefully it is 3 for you then!! Definitely 4 for me. It was only when I did the application form I counted how many departments I'm trained to work in and it's 12! I'm a float but have been in 1 area the majority of the time since Feb. Sounds like you've a good thing going, well done!!! I know what you mean you never feel secure until you have it in black and white.

I had interview the other day in Cork. They started straight away with my competencies - didn't ask about my education or other work experiences which I had hoped they would ask just to settle my nerves a little. Like everyone has said they stuck to the form. The two ladies on the panel were nice and the guy in the middle I wasn't so sure of. I'm really not sure how I did. I think my nerves got the better of me.

Have an interview with Tusla on Monday for a different competition, no thread for it so can I please ask a general question:

Do they ask about your knowledge of HIQA / National Standards in relation to the role? It gets mentioned in the job spec but just wondering do they quiz you at interview..if so it's a lot of extra reading! Sounds like they just go through the competencies? Suppose there is only so much you can cover in 25 minutes.

    Thanks :)

I got asked who, in my opinion, the Hse would be accountable to or inspected by...thank God I'd read the job spec and answered that I thought it was probably HIQA! They didn't expand on the question then, I think it was just their way of throwing me a curveball! Best of luck

I just got an email to say that 127 people have been placed on the panel for Kerry region.
    Also stated:

Please note that appeal outcomes of other selection process participants are not included in the formulation of the panel at this stage.

    Not sure what that means

I got the same email, I presume it means that if people are successful in their appeal that our positions on the panel could change. That would be a really crappy thing to happen at this stage.

What was the specified purpose? How long and how many? I only received one email about a permanent position it was a part time one as I've already accepted a specified purpose one.

I did the Grade VII yesterday in South East. Difficult to judge how it went, ran overtime by 10 minutes. One of the guys was fairly tough in his line of questioning. They said it will be just before Christmas or just after when results are released.

Yep mine too ran overtime by approximately 20 mins.
They seem really friendly and genuinely interested in my experience.
    Some really good questions.
How many where called for interviews approximately and what is the next stage?

Don't know how many were called, but interviews are going on until 8th December so guessing there must be a lot! I was just told results will be out just before or just after Christmas.

From percentile 1? Is that not the lowest score you could get? Ah this is so confusing
