Filling the gap between the boiler and wall

    This may belong more in the DIY section.

    We have a problem with mice in the utility room.
    We have identified all possible entrances and all but one have been filled. There is about a 1inch gap between the boiler and the wall of the house and we think they may have access through here, is there an issue filling this gap and what is the best thing to use. Thanks

    I don't know of a situation where the boiler would be meant to create a seal between outside and inside.

    A pic might help.

    Get someone competent to take the front and back cover off the boiler.Check if there is any droppings inside the boiler casing.Then check where the pipes leave the boiler and enter the house.You should be able to see if there is a gap between the wall and where the pipes enter the house.
