I forgot I even applied for this job until I got the email today. What's the process again for it all?

Just fill in the form when you get it and email it back I assume. You need your candidate no. which is in the first email they sent you back in February/March.

Had my interview today in the Kingsley.

    Didn't go well at all.

Thankfully though I got an email right after saying I passed the civil service interview I did a couple of weeks ago

Absolute Joke, the only reason I can see that they went down that far was they have the people choosen already and had to go down to that number on the panel so they can select them, little point in aptitude tests and ranking if your taking over half the panel to interview. Why take 600 to interview for say 10 jobs. No transparency between regions in selection procedures and unless they(HSE) have hundreds of Jobs for Donegal the selection process looks very suspect

My line of thinking was that not as many people applied for Donegal. I know a fair few people that would have been interested but didn't know about the campaign.

Was the interview very tough? Did they focus questioning on the form or did they veer away from it? I have mine tomorrow.

I done my interview. Just read pages 6 and 7 and be able to link your examples to a skill. They were very nice people.

They stick to the application form for the most part, so know the examples you gave for the particular competencies very well. I'd also suggest having other backup examples in case they do ask for another one.

I was given the choice giving an alternate one but stuck to the application.

Just make sure you have plenty of examples prepared.

I thought I had some but they were looking for more examples and I blanked.

Had interview for Cork today in Kingsley. Three interviewing, one was a tad cranky, one was a bit disinterested and one was lovely!
They first went through my education then work experience. Then each took a question from application form and gave option to expand on what I wrote or give a different one. Then after that a few additional questions like explain 3 main things you've learnt in your present job etc.
I think I did okish I did my best and was honest but don't think I gave the 'right' answers. So glad it's over!!!!

Thanks! I did my interview on the 26th of October. They said it would take ten working days to hear about the results, and that's what it's been. Surprisingly punctual for the civil service!

Got my result, unsuccessful, really upset cause I really put a lot of effort in trying to prepare. I'm worried now about ever been able to pass an interview in the future.

I got my result, number 46 on the panel. I'll probably never get called to be fair. Don't be disheartened, the whole process is so long to be told no at the end, I'm so sorry

Anyone know how many people were interviewed for Kerry in Killarney and how many they are placing on the panel?

Only speculating, but when I was there, there seemed to be 5 interview boards. Assuming that each board interviewed 8 candidates per day then that was 40 a day for 3 days. So that would be 120 people. Allowing for no shows and failures I'd say a panel of less that 100 anyway. I could be completely wrong though!

I emailed HBS this morning to ask, will let you know what they say if I get a reply!

Anyone know if it’s permanent jobs or temp?

    How did everyone get on?

I think someone on here said 170 were called for interview, obviously some would have found jobs beforehand and there would have been no shows too.

    Also got 45+ Kerry.
Am currently working in another county as a TCO with the HSE, just waiting for 3 years to be up for permanent contract, so will not be going forward with this one- So am out :)
The jobs will be emailed out to the panel, it will be up to us to apply or not- then depending on place on the panel you will go forward for that position afasik.
Best of luck to everyone else.

I'm also working as TCO for the last 2 years. My contract was extended another 2 years yesterday and I was told I would be permanent then so I think it's been raised to 4 years from 3 for permanency 😩 Maybe you started before me though and there is different ruling for you. I also did 5 months agency in same role unbroken so I must find out if that is included in the 4 years or not!

Got high 60's for Kerry... not sure if there are going to be that many jobs though, it's hard to know. Hopefully something will come out of it before the panel expires. Well done to those who came high on the panel, standards were high.
