Where are you seeing the water and what stove is it?

Is the chimney lined if not how is the stove connected to the chimney?

Looks like condensation i.e very cold chimney, have same problem with an external chimney built by a cowboy builder, if I leave the stove door slightly open all summer, it stops, but if I close and make it airtight, then water drips down the inside of the flue liner and leaks out through a joining at back of stove where the flue meets the stove. Leaving the door slightly ajar prevents this.

Could it be condensation? you don't mention if you have a flue liner fitted.

Most stove manufacturers recommended fitting a flue liner as it helps with the efficiency of the stove and it reduces condensation.

The link below may explain what is happening

You probably need advice from a qualified stove fitter. There may be other issues that they will spot and remedy, your local stove/ fireplace retailer may be able to give you a number for someone.
