I haven't seen it compared to those anywhere. Anyone who tries to are completely wrong, and it's not a fault of the show. I don't know why you'd dock it marks because of this.

I'm not docking it marks over that, it's genuinely a 6 out of 10 show.

I agree, there's a lot missing from it. I get that it's supposed to be about criminal profiling but the storylines just didn't flow or indeed finish.

I mean what was the deal with the headmaster? No real outcome?

The outcome of that was how the consequences affected Holden, what happens to the Headmaster from here on isn't important story wise. That was what I took from it anyway.

I just want to give another nod to Happy Valley.

The only thing I can compare it with is Cracker, with a mesmerising central performance from Sarah Lancashire on a par with Robbie Coltrane's.

Only if I lived in the Calder Valley I wouldn't be too happy with the image :o

Three episodes into Arrested Development, it's not bad.

Report back here when you watch them all. I’d go as far to say it’s the greatest comedy show of all time.

Shouldn't take too long, only 20 minutes an episode.:)

Feel like I'm running out of things to watch! Anyway, watched 'one of us', a documentary about three ex Hasidic Jews in New York and would recommend it.
Also, not spectacular, but enjoyed 'Tramps'.

    Why would it be pulled?

It was briefly available a few months ago but was a mistake so it got pulled.

Agreed, bit of a geeky laugh moment when Sean Bean's character has to mention the Council of Elrond and where the names were coming from, remember nodding over to my brother when I was watching in the cinema "He should know, he was there."

    This too shall pass.

Finally finished Freaks and Geeks. Such a great show and highly recommended to anyone with Stranger Things withdrawals!

    I'd forgotten that!

But the fact that it was a Fox film makes me a bit suspicious that Netflix probably paid over the odds to get a big film to soften the blow of the price increase.
I would have thought that Sky Movies would have had exclusive rights on that film.

Just finished American Crime Story The People VS OJ Simpson what a fantastic show strong performances all round! Well worth a watch for those who haven’t seen it.

Netflix have continuously used the argument of their own productions to justify the price increases, can't imagine they'd spend money on one film when they've already been open enough about why they've upped charges.

Don't think it's related to today's news, I believe it's been mooted since the summer.
