    http://epgservices.sky.com/nevermiss/ is very good for that. You can pick tv series you are interested in and it will email you about a week before they are due to start. It's not just skys own channels, it civers bbc, channel 4 etc. I don't think you have to be a sky customer to use it, I think you just need to create a sky id if you don't have one already. I used to be a customer but I'm not anymore, and the site works for me.

    I watched series 4 a couple of months ago with a DVD borrowed from the library.

    Yes you should be able to get ITV, ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4.

    A fifth ITV encore is not free to air.

    Despicable Me 2 is currently on ITV2 until 5.30pm.

    Yes as brian_t says above you can :) if you have sky you can add it and access it in 'other channels' there are a number of threads here on boards with instructions on how to add itv4 and many others (channel 5, five USA, etc) :)
