Mad Men at midnight is madness. They could get a decent audience for that if it was shown at 10 or 10.30. There is a lot of viewers here who no longer have it on the BBC.

True, and what's worse is moving it an hour either way every week. Makes it really difficult to set the PVR correctly to catch things.

Mad Men at 12 am, but White Collar on a Prime Time slot, ridiculous.

i wouldn't watch a series on rte if it was on another channel esp. if it was in hd ...

    reasons being

a). prog. not starting on the hour,

b). wouldn't have to watch out for prog. starting too early or late relative to its starting time or changing hour/day,

c). getting dropped for a week or two due to championship football or other..

d). getting a very late hour slot due to not being brought in from the states and not (in rte's mind) mainstream.

I'd be the opposite and would watch on RTE as they have less ad breaks (especially on later timeslots) and don't squash up the credits the minute it's finished to promote the next programme. With Sky+ I've only found the start/ end time to be an issue on a few occasions, no more than any of the other stations. My only gripe is they should have a page on their website listing the premier dates for these shows so you don't miss them, since they don't usually advertise them.

I hear Blue Bloods is actually a good show, geared more to the older audience. White Collar is great crime caper fun, i hope you guys give it a shot :)

One of the Irish channels should pick up Burn Notice way better than White Collar imo

Any news on the start date and time of the new Hawaii 5-0. I know RTE picked it up. I watched a few of the first episodes and it was quite enjoyable.

Burn Notice is a great series, I could see it being a hit too in Ireland if RTE picked it up and give it a decent time slot. RTE 2 are showing Royal Pains too, which isn't as good as Burn Notice either.

I think Sky 1 are showing Hawaii 5-0 in February if that helps.

Looks like TV3 have given up on Harry's Law after only 2 episodes.

A TV3 documentary called Back To School has been put in it's place on digiguide.

    Bloody joke of a network:mad:

Same treatment has been done to Chuck, House, Dexter and V among others on this channel over the last few years. How can they expect to build up audience for these shows if they don't give them enough time.

Last week Digiguide had Harry's Law as being on again from the 24th of April but they have changed that and it's not on again for the forseeable future.
TV3 are showing All Saints again starting at 5.25am tomorrow morning according to Irish Times.

Thought you were messing, but then I checked the listings. Sure it is RTE after all. I don't understand why they even bother acquiring the rights to the show if they are just going to put it on at such a ridiculous hour. Sure why not just fill that gap with re-runs and save the licence fee-payers a bit of money. And it is quiet a decent show too, not the worst thing on TV I've seen. It could have got decent-ish ratings if promoted properly and given a good timeslot. Hopefully it will be put on the Player anyway.

Either it came in one of those network import packages (Maybe packaged with Greys or DH?) or they're doing their usual 'buy everything so TV3 can't' strategy.

They acquire programmes in so called 'bundles of programmes', and not buy each programme individually. So I don't think they went out of their way to acquire this one - prob came with a much bigger series.

Ah I see. I believe NOF was shown on ABC, so they probably got it with Grey's and Desperate Housewives as Phasers said.

Edit: Alot of the ABC content gets on the RTE Player (Greys, DH, Lost) so at least there is a chance it will get on the Player.
