The current gift grub idea of humour seems to involve the characters simply shouting at each other very loudly.
It also involves me changing the station until it's over most mornings.
    $hite.

Gift Grub was one of the few things that kept me listening

Yeah, there's very little humour there now just characters shouting at each other.

It needs a break for a while to recharge.

Have any Radio Nova listeners noticed that after a certain watershed, Nova uses Today FM/98FM's newsroom?

I rarely listen to radio on the weekends but was driving from 6-10 this evening, and eds songs of praise was on. What a fantastic show, sufjan stevens, beirut, air, on an irish radio show???!!! Glorious.

did anyone hear Ian's reference that 'luckily moral is very high around here'

thought it was a bit tongue in cheek

Is it just me who doesn't like Muireann OC? I'm sorry, but I find her voice VERY annoying. I'd take Al Porter over her any day.

Mikey, you've said this five times in the (one-page) Muireann O'Connell thread. It's starting to look like spam at this stage.

Edit: an on-thread warning isn't an excuse to gang-up on a poster. There's no need to chip in. Some posts have been deleted and carded.

I'm going to stop. I was just expressing my opinion.

She's on the 6 o'clock show too on TV3, wears some very short shirts, and not as hyper as when she's on radio

Steve K deserves the Saturday Hits show.

    "No stuff, just Steve!"

It was nice to have Joe Donnelly on mid mornings today.

Grand change having Susan Keogh on instead of Matt

Anyone is better than Cooper at this stage. I'd even have Al Porter do TLW over Matt.

I agree. He is very easy to listen to. His style is very suited to that time slot.
Dermot and Dave I think are really struggling. Their show is just so repetitive at this stage. It will only be a matter of time before they’re gone.

While I agree with a lot of Matt's views, it drives me bonkers when he fires impartiality out the window. Host the debate, ask probing questions, call BS when required and let us make up our own mind.

    Susan has potential alright.
The show was a little heavy on "feminist issues" yesterday.

I'll reserve judgement for the time being, given the topics that are in the news at the moment.

I don't disagree, he was my go-to drivetime DJ in the TXFM days.

It is just a confidence thing and I tuned into her early saying it, but every question began with 'And'. Other than that I enjoyed it.

Someone changed the pre-sets on the radio in work car, and I heard Joe talking on the pre-set I had Phantom on and for a split second thought it was back,:( but he's easy to listen to.

is she the one who does the 5 at 5,,, ya her bits she selects come off as femisinst and sjw'y ....The fawing over Trudeau a while back was nauseating and always goes for bits like the journal sprouts like the weekly "gender pay gap"

Cooper used to be the best at the impartiality, being a tough interviewer and having/using common sense but now jumped on the SJW/pC bandwagon....was it trump that caused him to go over the edge or I wonder what it was with the change
