Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

What jobs available for BSc. Psychology degree?

    I have recently completed my BSc. in Psychology and would like to find, literally, any job where my degree is relevant.

    Due to personal circumstances, I will not be pursuing a Masters for at least 3 years.

    So my question is, what kind of relevant positions exist in relation to my degree (in any field)?

    I would like to work in a social care setting but I am not sure if I am limited to applying for social care assistant positions only or if I can somehow gain positions as a social care worker with some training?

    And outside of such positions, what jobs would my degree be relevant in ?

    Have you thought about jobs in Tech? For example I've seen UX Researcher (User Experience Design) jobs on LinkedIn that look for psychology grads.

    I don't have a psychology degree myself, just something I've come across.

    Graduate UX Researcher (this one specifically mentions Psychology degree)

    You might also want to look into Quality Analyst jobs. And my advice would be to ignore "requirements" and apply anyway if you like the sound of a job. Just because you don't tick all the boxes doesn't mean you're not suitable.

    As long as your degree is a level 7 or above you can apply for Social Care Worker positions. Many places will look for some level of experience when it comes to residential care as many graduates will even have basic placement experience from college if they completed a social care degree.

    Have often wondered what a career as UX researcher would entail? Do you need specific qualifications outside of psychology for that role? Could you work from home in a job like that do you think?
