awakening the central heating after summer

    Hi all. The missus has forced me to turn on the CH but the pressure gauges don't read right. I know how to bleed a rad but am clueless as to gown to pressurize the system. Thanks

    Turn that grey knob in the third picture to get your black needle aligned with the red needle, then turn it off again.

    When i bleed radiators will i need to repeat that?

    Why is boiler dial stuck at zero, btw?

    Yes, but you need to investigate further if you regularly need to bleed them.

    Looking at the photos in the hotpres i am trying to figure out your setup ?

    Is that a photo of a domestic water booster pump - with a red expansion vessel connected and then a PRV on the leg feeding the hot water cylinder ?

    In relation to the advice above are you sure that PRV is for the Heating ? To me it looks like a boosted water setup.

    No hot water cylinder. That was taken out. I was told when it was put in last yr it was a two zone "closed/pressurised" system. Basically when we turn on a hot tap we get hot water and after few SEC's pump kicks in til we stop using hot tap.

    A registered gas installer are you certain on this? We are talking about a system low on water pressure think about it.

    Opened it completely but needle won't budge. Heating working grand but neither needle moving
