warranty will be fine because its EU. I asked google about getting from US to Ireland and they said just contact them and they will change the warranty for me so from UK to Ireland? Should be fine.

Read in the pixel (original) thread of people contacting google for repairs and having no issues too. My credit card was accepted, but I had bought the 6p before on the irish store. Now just to wait till December 25th.. hopefully earlier.. for it to ship.

Is there a dual sim card version of the pixel 2 xl? I heard they there is an esim. Can both a normal sim and the esim be activated on the phone at the same time?

Does the e-sim only work for googles project fi? Thats my understanding anyway. Im not aware of any other company that use the idea. Open to correction on that.

Went off without a hitch. Used the MasterCard linked with my account. Funny thing is, I remember having issues trying to order from Google UK before, due to having an Irish CC. But not this time, I checked the linked card, and it has my Irish home billing address. Deliver addressed being parcel motel in the UK.

Are you inputting the card at checkout, or linking the card to your google account and selecting it at checkout? If you have not already done so, I would try doing the latter.

I managed to order one using parcel motel too. I initially had issues with my billing address so I changed that to Parcel motel and it went through.

Why don't they allow us to buy from the Irish store? It's a pain in the ass using a VPN and trying to change a credit card billing address to match Parcel Motel.

I've spent the last two days trying to buy from carphonewarehouse using a Revolut card. It didn't work. Revolut wouldn't let me change my address to the north without proof of address.

Many thanks for the advice.  I linked the card to the account and it seemed to work without any issue.

Its been popping in and out of stock as people cancel their pre-orders. Thats how I managed to get mine, constant refreshing and hope for the best. It seems to be happening a lot less now though
