live from Dingle - relatively calm

Ah Minard, a beautiful spot - I'd say it must be fairly bleak there today though!

    Getting so many mixed messages!

Some say its not as bad as expected, others saying it's howling ......

    What's the story?

I really don't know why people have to ask this question......

The wind isn't just ON or OFF in a specific area. Different areas will experience different sets of weather features at different times.

Based on the northerly track of the esb outages and some of the photos I am seeing this is as bad an event as predicted with at least another 12 hours before the worst of it has left the general vicinity of the country.

Stay indoors, keep safe and worry about who got what right and wrong and what someone said tomorrow.

Really glad work was cancelled. The area where my workplace is (northside Cork City) seems to be getting the worst of it. Cork Safety Alerts has some good info...

Yeah, we should, because they're people just like us.

But I'd be awful tempted to get them to shore and then bury my size 12s halfway up their arseholes for being stupid fking mutts!!

Not me. They know exactly what they are doing so off they go.

    These are not accidents.

These stupid ****s are purposely being reckless pulling others into a dangerous situation

    So off they go

Are the people who claimed all was fine when it was relatively calm this morning starting to grasp the reality of the situation facing us now?

nothing major on Dingle peninsula tbh- is this over hyped
As someone who who was born on the Dingle peninsula ... thank the gods if you got off / are getting off lightly!

Hell, park your arse on a stool in O'Flahertys / Dick Mac's / Foxy John's / Hannie's / John Benny's / Tom Long's / Geaney's and toast the old gods that the place is still standing!

Why tf do people complain when things aren't as bad as they might have been?! Colour me confused .....

Branches and sticks hitting the windows here in rural Murroe Co. Limerick. Hopefully a big one doesn't break a window.

Reports on RTE that a tree has hit a car in Waterford with 2 occupants.

Down here as well, I'd say the site/app cant cope with the amount of queries it is currently getting.

If it's dreadful with trees down and tiles off the roof, they are in the south of the country.
If it's rough but just very windy, they're just a little bit away from the worst and things will get worst.
If people are asking what the bother is, it hasn't gone anywhere near them yet - it will.
