Is Val's con son Eddie in new Kerrygold ad?

this doctor fella is a nasty bit of work isnt he?

i like the hannah thing - she's playing the part really good.

Is t'ick Doug gonna save the day? - I hope he does. is there no end to his superman talents - first rescuing Orla from a burning Garage .. and now standing up for hannah .. he's a very likeable t'ick, bless him , a bit one brick short of a load but his all heart really ...

We found out that Oakley is the head honcho in the Dublin branch of PW and is Miriam's boss.

It seems Miriam might be a bit of a deluded fruitcake rather than a fraudster or con artist. She actually seems to believe all the stuff she's saying.

I'm rapidly losing faith in the professionalism of the medical staff at Carrigstown Hospital.
Anytime I was admitted to hospital, I had to give samples of, well, everything. Blood, urine, and, eh, other things..
But you don't need to know about that.
Strange then that Hannah 's blood samples didn't show up the `harmful` drugs that Dr Oakley had given her.
Only Doug, with his Masters degree in pharmacology, was able to spot the danger.
(Actually, for some reason, Doctor Oakley reminds me of Raoul, the head of the Addams family in the old TV series. But of course you youngsters wouldn't remember that)
Anyway Carrigstown Hospital needs to review its policy on visiting hours. It seems that anyone can, at any time, stick their head round the door and have a conversation with a patient, whether that patient in a semi-conscious state or even perhaps in the act of using the bedpan....
    Isn't VHI cover great?

Aren't we all enthralled with the ongoing saga of the Kerri-Ann /Mondo / Decco love triangle?
At this stage, we'd just be happy if all three just decided to jump into bed together.
Although, knowing Decco's luck, he'd be just on the verge of swinging his mighty hammer when Cahal would ring his mobile, wanting a package brought to Termofeckin.

Wayne to Dolly : "Ma, I don't want to always be a loser. I want to make something of my life. I want my son, Junior, to be proud of his daddy"
Yeah, Wayne, but maybe Junior is proud of his Da.
But we don't know, because we haven't seen Tommy for a while.....

I note the wardrobe budget hasn't extended to replacing Dolores's green top yet. That must be several years on the go.

Actually why does Fair City have a wardrobe department? Surely the cast don't go in naked? Could they not just wear their own clothes, if suitable for the situation. I can see the need for a Garda uniform or a suit but surely Juliet has a pair of jeans at home.

RTE/Fair City staff had a sleep out to raise money for Focus Ireland last night.

Well I think all soaps have a wardrobe department is because they want the characters to look a certain way. Mainly because because the cast could turn up in anything that wouldn't be fitting for there character and it would cause a lot of arguments!

Oh I get this. Maybe for example the actress who plays Kerri Ann isn't a fan of yellow mini dresses in the Autumn. However for normal clothes surely they'd have a jumper and jeans or two. We all need to have clothes that are a work wardrobe but I don't see my job paying me for suits although I do a lot of meeting and greeting. Maybe the solution is to buy online from The Helping Hand!

We won't start an argument about this but in some place(well where I worked) you get your uniform payed for or an allowance.
It's just a perk of being in television that your have a very good chance of having a wardrobe department.

Some of the 'actors` and `actresses` in the picture have had such a long rest from Fair City that it couldn't really have been much of a sacrifice.

I wonder with the whole cult story warming up nicely, will FC have a big and bold story planned for Christmas maybe involving Manson demanding members prove exactly how loyal they are...
It would certainly beat Niamh pretending to leave Paul for the 190765th time.

I remember last Christmas say Niamh was going to expose her plan but the Dermot had a heart attack and it got put off for another few months. They'd probably would do similar this year with The Phoenix way!

Did Alex go as well? I presume he did but I was fairly tuned out throughout all of that.

The reason I ask is, I would have thought taking a teenager out of school for that long would be frowned upon. Then again, Zoe!

I don't get Melanie. She broke up with Mondo and then after talking to Kerri-Ann who's obviously still into him he gets back with him? And then starts throwing daggers at Kerri-Ann? Odd

Emmett is like a new character in the soap.

It reminds me of American Horror Story: Cult, without the horror at the moment.

"I will do anything for my family". Emmet is a completely brainwashed person these days. The cult have Hannah back where they want her. That scene where they rose up against Doug was really creepy, Manson would be so proud!

Makes me wonder what they will have to do next to prove their loyalty to Manson. Very interesting story.

Is Dan a friend of greasy hair? I'd very much doubt It, putting Carol in charge of a pub is like putting Dracula over a blood bank. What a spanner.

What's the story with Ronan? He showed up only 2 weeks ago and in that time has gone from being scammed into joining PW, saying PW changed his life after one class, investing in their classes, and is now suddenly skeptical about their ways. Make up your mind man!

"Miriam is our saviour" or words to that effect. He only met her two weeks ago. Jesus.

I'm not desperately religious but I do live in a suburb of north west Dublin which has a community centre and a charity shop, a laundrette, a couple of restaurants, coffee shops and a spar. But we also have a church (and a Mormon church and a mosque planned)...so where are these things in carraigstown?

There was definitely a church at one point : I remember Dolores having an affair with a priest and meeting him there. It's true though that their coverage of religion is very patchy and unsatisfactory, we very rarely see anything happening in a church, even compared to the British soaps strangely.
