DVD player on Sony smart TV - using 1 remote?

    A step back in time I know, but for nostalgic reasons in the family, I am getting some dvds and plan to get a new dvd player.

    With the plan to try keep everything down to one remote, does anyone know if Sony or anyone else have a compatible dvd player that will sync in with the TV, so i can use the TV remote?

    Any other thoughts on how I could tackle this?

    I think the model is an X80
