Have to say I wasn't expecting a rust problem in this day and age, especially from a brand priced like Honda.

The rust is a common problem with the 8th generation Civic. When manufacturing the car the top windscreen rubber that honda used was made of a hard plastic. Is it kinda cuts into the paint work, which results in corrosion. To fix this, the window has to be removed, the area has to be cleaned up, resprayed and a softer window seal has to be installed which is supplied by Honda. In the UK Honda done recalls for owners of this generation Civic. However, that never happened in Ireland.

The car I bought form Skoda, at the time I didn't do my research and I was unaware of this issue. Apart from that issue the car is extremely fresh. with only 97,000 miles on the clock when I bought it 5 months ago.

I've used Currids in Grange a few times, admittedly for mechanical work and not body work, but found them very good.

If removing the window make sure it's replaced properly, especially if you have the rain sensing wipers, I think there's a gel that goes over the sensor when refitting.

Oh this only happens with the metal roof. Your Civic isn't effect by this issue.

Also, the glass was tougher than the metal. Once the runner wore through the paint, the rust sets in then.
