Is there any slang you have from your area or any idioms or sayings?

    I'm from the Fingal area, I'm not sure if these are specific to here:

    Put no pass on him = Ignore him.
    Dalk = thorn.
    Bunched = something is broken / fucked or someone is tired. I'm bunched = I'm tired. The laptop is bunched = The laptop is broken.

    I can't think of many that I'm pretty sure are all over Ireland, but one I picked up from my grandad is "How are ya making out?", as in "How's it going?".
    From East Mayo btw

    I know !! :) I read up on it. There's so little bibliography on it and unfortunately most written records of it are destroyed / not available. We can only speculate as to the pronunciation it.

    Where I come from, a "piece" is a gun.
    Where some friends of mine come from, a "piece" is a sandwich.
    We tried to rob a bank once...with hilarious consequences!
