I think if computers were gone in the morning you wouldn't be worrying about emissions

That's right no cars worked decades back. Granted they weren't a patch on today's but we'd still have cars without computers.

Not disputing that but it's not what the threads about.

Of course we could live in a world without computers. We lived before computers.

There was a time we had no computers and people actually talked to each other, great times sadly gone now.

Sure, I did and lived to tell the tale (typewriter and posting scripts via snail mail; communications via landline phone; doing research in libraries and paper archives; actually meeting people face to face; driving a car even I could understand how to repair it; etc.).

But boy is life easier with computers. I don't want to live without them, though I could.

Computers allow you to see boobs at any time you want. So, in summary, no.

I can't imagine how much harder it was studying for degrees, masters, doctorates, etc. before widespread usage of the internet. Nightmare compared to now.

Stephen is dead, the man in the wheelchair is a stand in. Seriously, if you look at his pictures over the years and are still convinced that he is the same man you need to pay a visit to specsavers.

We had to come up with a lot of our own ideas, phraseology, and hypotheses based on our lectures, library reading and research. It was doable- obviously. I also found I retained learning from pre-computers days more than post-computers.
