There are no such things as "detox" diets that can remove impurities from your body. Your liver and kidney do this

I think the idea of detox diet is that you eat really "clean" food so that they're not in your body in the first place, no?

Detox means removing toxic substances from the body, eating a detox cocktail doesn't remove toxins. Your body does

That waking a sleepwalker is somehow dangerous and will turn them into white walkers...they'll be a bit confused but that's it. Just don't wake them up at the top of the stairs maybe.

Ever since Public Enemy released Fight The Power it's been popular to call Elvis a racist who stole music from black people. This makes no sense. If he was a racist why would he think black music was worth stealing? Not that he did steal black music, most of his biggest hits were written by white people. He did have black backing singers called The Sweet Inspirations in the seventies which he treated decently.

And Chuck D didn't seem to see the irony in rapping about musical theft over another musicians record that he hadn't gotten the rights to use.

That people with piercings are deviant. That people with an alternative look are unique. They're neither. Just ordinary people with a different sense of style to what's mainstream.

That menstruation normally comes with crippling pain. It's not normal to be incapacitated and in agony and shouldn't be accepted as part of the burden of being female.

That women are tough for bleeding for five days. It shouldn't be that much blood loss.

That women are raging lunatics with PMS. If any of these things are true for a woman then she deserves medical attention.

Fate and destiny are different things, not interchangeable terms.

One's fate is authored by a divine or all powerful hand.

One's destiny is influenced by the decisions and choices a person makes throughout their lifetime. Also known as kismet, a lovely word.

Oh, and that thing you think karma means? It almost certainly doesn't.

That a Garda can't arrest you if he's not wearing his hat.

Genuinely amazes me how many times I've heard this quoted as fact.

Myth that women shouldn't bleed for 5 days or more, anything between 2 and 7 days is considered normal :P[/QUOT

I meant that the notion that we survive *all that bloodloss* like indestructible superhoeros/martyrs is nonsense because it shouldn't be *that much* bloodloss, if it goes on for two days or seven, normally it's a matter of spoonfuls. Five days is just what I've heard it estimated as when people say it.

That the Holocaust was only Jews being sent to secret camps and gassed.

In fact many were shot and dumped in mass graves and massacred in pograms, often while civilians and German soldiers looked on.

On the other hand, Stalin was only 5 foot 3.

That Jews were the only victims, or that they were only killed in that one way?

They were also starved, worked to death and experimented on. The female guards were brutal to the female prisoners.
