I have two toilets with push button cisterns. Long story short kids cant flush the toilets. Mrs sometimes finds it hard to push the buttons.

Can I pull all parts out and replace with new easy push ones.

Can't answer your specific question.  But I've had problems with 2 separate push buttons recently.  One was caused by a 'kink' on the cable where the cable is connected to the push button.  Repaired with a pliers at zero cost.  The other one was caused by a dodgy pushbutton.  Replaced the button at a cost of approximately €14.
    So if I was you I'd :
    1. take the lid off and lift the mechanism and see if it flushes freely.
    2. check where the push button is connected and see if it is a wire or button problem.
