JaMarcusHustle mentioned it in Fantasy thread that Josh Gordon is free to play again. Could be a good fit for the Pats if we can get him to stay clean and up to scratch. Low risk potential high reward type deal.

Is he still contracted to Cleveland? From what I can see, Sportrac have him as still under contract, to being an RFA after this year. It wouldn't take much to get him at all I reckon, a conditional late round pick. There was talk Cleveland would trade/release him last time he applied.

Would love to see him here.

You are right I forgot he still is contracted with them. Be a cheap trade though you figure. Brown will want to offload him rather than keep him I bet.

He needs commissioner goodell to reinstate him first. If the patriots look like they would pick him up then our friend Roger would be sure to sign off on it quick smart!

But he'd be a great pick up. His off field misdemeanors in my opinion are very much on the lower scale of things considering the length he has been suspended for

If you look at his Instagram, he still looks to be keeping himself in remarkable shape which is encouraging.

He is never going to make it, he has been suspended multiple times and went to rehab last year. If he did good in rehab then he would already be reinstated but he hasn't and that means he still has a drug/alcohol problem. No chance BB will ever take a guy like that and rightly so imo.

He won't be getting any from us after this year anyway.

Big problems on defence again with big plays.

Mercilus just walked around Solder that time for the sack. He truly is thrash at this point

And at fault on the 3rd and 1. Brutal performance.

Our defense with another under the radar trash performance.

I've no faith in the D. I thought we'd be stronger in the secondary, and maybe do a job up front; but it's been substandard, and a major concern.

Yeah, I thought better coverage would offset the lack of passes to some extent. But it hasn't been close.

Failed to concert two 3rd & 1s now in a row. Not looking good. Who had us losing our first 2 home games?

Awful offensive performance in the second half, Brady has to time on any play.

that last play sums us up

We are back to the D that gives up long plays. Unless it improves, we don't have a shot if the offense is expected to score 30+.

what a throw and what a catch

Absolutely sensational throw and catch. Wow, how did Cooks keep his feet in.

Brady has been so clutch for so long.

I'm getting really excited about Cooks, could be the second coming of Randy Moss level receiving in New England.

Brady bails the defence out again

I'll admit it, I switched over after the Texans field goal.
Should never have lost faith in Lord Brady :D

    Still buzzing!!
But the D and the issues at left tackle are huge concerns going forward.
The league isn't swamped with quality at the position, but no way we pay Solider for next year.

Papering over the cracks at the minute, they will improve over the season, they always do, but the margin is thin this season with so many tough games.

The D is absolutely horrendous out there but the potential in the offence is there to be seen, hopefully it knits together in time to let that show what it can be.

Also, not sure where else to post this, the Hernandez latest news story was fascinating to me, incredible to see a brain in such condition at his age, could be a factor in some of his actions? Sure, not going to start the defence of him at all though. Just more worrying evidence for the league to contend with.

Some concerns alright but that throw and catch to win the game was outstanding. Great ball placement by brady but an altogether otherworldly catch by Cooks.

Was also impressed by cooks' speed earlier in the game running right to left on a YAC. He just took off.

40 year Brady doing what he has always done and bringing the win home yet again. We're so blessed to have him. Great to see him getting Cook unleashed and hopefully they can kick on from yesterdays chemistry.

The defense and particularly the secondary, were utterly useless. It's going to be a very long season, if Brady is going to keep having to throw 5 TD passes to beat teams. Worse still, I can't see any fix for the defense. Making a rookie QB and an average offense look good is a very big worry.
