Saw that sign this morning only thing is Goodell gets flown in by helicopter so he wont see it.

This whole movement is so dumb at this point. Time to get over ourselves and move on. Taking shots at Goodell is never going to change him and he will never leave because of it so what is the point anymore? Besides he loves the attention.

C'mon? you don't think this is funny?

This is a guy who gets paid $40m a year to say concussions aren't real and never seriously gets questioned on any of his behavior because he only allows media that he controls interview him. He's due some humility.

Also I dont think the Billboard is for him but to generate some buzz for the fans so they know to pick up the towels as they wont be on Patriots property to handing them out.

It is hilarious and the t-shirt Patricia wore was also but the whole thing is getting old at this point. Goodell is a scumbag but the owners love him and he is their puppet so he is going nowhere anytime soon.

I think it's very cringeworthy. I hope they're banned from the stadium.

I kinda agree. It's done, we won the SB.
The clown himself is getting millions every year, so he wins in his own way.

It might be fun for the fans there, but he got his boo's during the SB presentation; time to move on.

Trust me when I say a lot of fans do find it funny to some extent here but agree it has become cringe worthy also. Good split among fans who just want to move on and be done with the Goodell nonsense. As you said the Pats made their point and shove it down his neck by winning the Superbowl. Job done. Now lets move on.

The stadium security have been discussing the issue also and have yet to make a decision on what to do with it. The organisation itself have not made a statement either way and they may not but it has been discussed with the security guys.

Why can't being moved on and having a laugh at Goodell's expense be basically mutually exclusive?

For two years, Deflategate made me irrationally angry. As a big Pats' fan the lies, leaks and injustice negatively affected me personally, as sad as that sounds. But when we won the Super Bowl last year, right in Goodell's face, it was over, we won. All those stupid controversies that tried to take away from the Patriots success meant nothing. I feel like I have completely moved on and so have the majority of Pats, living in Boston I can tell you that nobody talks about it anymore.

Just because I've moved on doesn't mean I forgot that Deflategate ever happened and i can't comment on the parallels of it and the Zeke Elliot case or have a laugh at Goodell's expense.

Making these towels and having the laugh is not really moving on though. Barstoolsports just want attention and it helps that thousands have not moved on and never will move on from the Goodell thing. Like me you live in New England and probably listen to sports news and its sad how much attention Goodell gets here in New England. A large amount of Pats fans will never move on.

So looks like Cyrus Jones has suffered an ACL injury too, the third for the Pats this season. To be honest, it's quite concerning from a S&C point of view that such a serious injury has happened to 3 players in such a short time. Might just be horrendous coincidence, but doesnt look good.

As for Jones, with Edelmans injury, he actually became more important as the kick returner options weakened with Edelman out. You dont want Amendola taking kick returns if you need him as the slot. I really like the play of Foster, and though a running back, I think he could be a good one to keep in the 53, try him as a kick returner and use as a pass catching back or even slide into the slot. If he was on any other roster he'd easily make the 53, just we have a glut of pass catching backs with Lewis, James, Burkhead and then Gilislee and Bolden (and Devlin as full back).

Carr too has shown some good plays this off season. Nice TD last night too.

Agreed. But Jones is no loss. Not good in coverage, and hasn't looked valuable enough to keep as a kick returner. With the amount of receiving backs we have, Lewis could do the job.

I absolutely agree with you. Yes everybody has moved on and Brady's GOAT status was cemented with his greatest ever victory. But we shouldn't forget that Goodell is a bollocks, a clown and a corrupt muppet and yes we all know the owners love him, but none of that shouldn't stop us from reminding them of the fact. And as Hazy's said, just because we moved on doesn't mean we should forget about. In fact, the memories of it all, the corruption and the attempts to derail our success, makes our continuing success all the more sweeter. So they can make all the towels, flags, billboards and posters they want, because for me, it is a beautiful reminder of what we overcame on the way to winning our sweetest ever SB.

It has become a sad obsession at this point. Roger could give two fooks about those towels I bet. His job is secure and he knows it and he is filthy rich. The Evil empire lives on.

As for the other owners they showed how much they care about it all by extending his contract.

Even if he was the only healthy WR on the team, Id still rather Amendola take returns than Jones. The latter is a liability. My nerves are shot whenever I see him lining up to return. And he's shown nothing on defense either and didn't look any better this preseason than he did last year.

I feel bad for the guy as injuries suck, but we're better without him on the field. This injury is of zero consequence to us and probably helps secure a roster spot for a more deserving player which is a positive.

I agree he really hasnt done anything pre injury to show us that he wont be the fumbling mess he was last season. This off season he had just two solid returns but was beat a lot when playing in the secondary. Feel for the guy as he wont get a chance to prove himself but next man up to prove themselves

Yeah I think Jones even if he was fit was going to be very borderline as to whether he made it or not. His defence showed nothing to add to the team so his only addition was returning, and that wasn't exactly setting things alight either. The only thing I'd say this year was at least he wasn't a fumbling mess like he was last year. As I said above, I'd like to see DJ Foster make the cut. Has played well and deserves a shot. Was close last year too. Seems a decent guy too.

That's just mad, doesn't relate at all. I'm concerned for your mind if you think that sticking it to Goodell is anything like an ex-girlfriend.

Goodell avoided Gillette because he can't control the fans in the stadium and he didn't want to be embarrassed. This is great and I'm delighted they are doing it. It's going to be all over the media and Goodell is going to get embarrassed even if he decides at the last minute not to turn up.

I'm surprised at you TO, you live over there and you know how the majority of Patriots fans feel about the whole thing. This is getting it off the chest and having the last laugh. There is nothing old or cringeworthy about it. This fool picked on our boy and banned him for four games, it'll never be old in my eyes.

Firstly There is a difference about those that keep banging on about it and those just having the laugh. Secondly The Majority? I would disagree. It seems like the majority want to keep banging on about it but it is simply not true. The online persona and the social media persona is not the feeling of the majority. Barstoolsports trying to make themselves look funny is not the majority either. Most are happy that we shoved the Superbowl up the clowns hole and now he looks foolish. But most realize banging on about him wont get rid of him

As for him avoiding Gillette? When? HE was there this pre-season already and will be there on Thursday again. You are mad if you think this is bothering that scumbag.

If you an other feel the necessity to keep banging on about it to each their own really.

And before you come back to me on Friday and say oh look the full capacity waving the towels disagrees with you. Let me answer that. I would be having the banter with the towel also on Thursday as would most for the laugh but the difference is come Friday I would move on until his antics affect the Patriots again which wont be for a long time. But there will be those who will keep reminding us all how he screwed Tom Brady and the Patriots and keep banging on about it.

Brissett traded to Indy for Philip Dorsett. Bit of a surprise.

That's a bit underwhelming if I'm been honest.

Absolutely furious with this as a Colt. Dorsett has been a small let down as a 1st round draft pick, but he has grossly been under utilised on our system. He is still on a rookie contract he costs us hardly anything for another year. For ye, ye get a guy that runs a 4.35 40, good hands just needs to work on his route running. But loads of potential and is v young.

Also means Lucks arm is crocked. What a total disaster for us.

What is Dorsett like as kick or punt returner? Or does he even?

    Not in the NFL but...

I think this is the primary reason we traded for him.

Damn didn't see that coming makes our QB situation all that more mysterious. Could we be left going to the draft again to find Bradys replacement if we dont pay Jimmy? Mad really.

Great value for us imo. Their was talk that Jacoby would be cut so to pick up a PR/KR who has potential of a 1st round WR is good business.

A little sad to see Jacoby go as that game he won against the Texans was magical. Always feel something for the guy with limited ability who step up big time for us but at the end of the day he was a 3rd QB and most seasons we only keep two.

Need to pickup a 3rd QB for the practice squad now though.

    @ProFootballTalk

If Jacoby Brissett can beat out Scott Tolzien in 8 days, Jim Irsay should fire everyone. Including himself.

The cuts are coming through now.

Trevor Bates, KJ Maye, DJ Killings and DJ Foster have been released.

Hopefully Foster makes it to the PS but I'm doubtful
