Weller doesn't get a lot of attention for his solo work anymore from the music media, but there are always good tracks on his recent albums.

I'm liking these so I am.

Am I right in saying these are Songhoy-Blues? I missed the intro but caught a bit of the name that came up on screen

I hope they let Chris Farlowe do one of his own songs before they are Out Of Time, ahem.

    Dave's virtually stealing the show.

I think it is a pathetic lineup considering all the great acts that have been on Later over the years.Unfortunately a few of them are dead, but there are so many still left to choose from.Surely they were not all unavailable.

I wouldn't call it pathetic ... but I could have taken a bit more from the Britpop era and a bit less ambient french drumming tonight, for example.

There does seem to be less acts than I expected, especially in comparison to Hootenanny.

And it was a bit of a shame that KT only got to perform "Black Horse". :(

Would have liked "Suddenly I See" too, or even something from her latest album Kin - seeing as many of the other acts (including Van and Paul) got to perform songs from *their* latest albums.

Having Van close the show was definitely A Good Thing, though. :):)

Just seen that in the listings & happen to tune in & see KT singing, but only one song you say, jees you get more in Later!
I recorded it from then & tuned into Little Richie, i mean Ray:D

Even in the A-Z of Later last week, afaik she featured twice, also it was mentioned that she wasn't the only one to stand in & become famous overnite, i think Coldplay stood in as well?

Quite poignant this song is for her!

A damp squib for a 25th Anniversary show in a premier venue.

While it could have delivered even more than it did, the reviews in the papers were positive nonetheless.

Here are five things the folks at BBC Music learned behind the scenes. I certainly agree with them about the last one.

    http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-41365865

However, I think they may be exaggerating just a little bit about KT's height. She *is* short, no doubt about that - but she's not *quite* a full foot shorter than Dave Grohl (she's 5 foot 2 while he's 6 foot precisely). ;)

Is that short for 'Kin Shyte :p

Could be, but I don't think it is. ;)

Incidentally, her third album was Tiger Suit. Make of that what you will. ;)
