Life is Strange. Two chapters in and really enjoying the story....

Started Playing Skylar and Plux: Adventure on Clover Island

It is so good, I love these 3D platformer type of games.

    Wolfenstein: New World Order.

For some reason the first time around I just got a bit bored of it fairly quickly and never went back, but been playing it again the last two days - the first time I've spent playing a single player game in a very long time, and I actually love it.

Did play The Old Blood which was OK but not as good as this - roll on Wolfenstein 2 in October!

    Wolfenstein: New World Order.

Very little beats dual wielding automatic shotguns with exploding shells in a narrow corridor. I almost felt sorry for the poor decapitated Nazis.

Clearing out a few boxes from my old bedroom in my parents house. Found the Gamecube and a Zelda classic bundle disc. Ocarina of Time fired up last night. 3 hours disappeared.

Fallout Shelter - Want to stop playing this but only 10 damn legendary dwellers away from getting the last achievement and the achievement whore in me refuses to give up.

X-com: Enemy Unknown - Just as addictive as it's 90s predecessor. Pretty sure I could be playing it more efficiently (base building getting little or no attention) but having too much fun kicking alien ass.

Played that the whole way through a few months ago. Apart from the camera control it's still very good

Playing a lot of XCOM 2 at the minute, with Bioshock and The Stanley Parable hopefully coming when I'm all out of patience.

Just finished the DLC of Arkham Knight, clocked up about 38 hours in total for the game. Pretty good for about €10. It was worth waiting til it was patched on PC. Pity the Return to Arkham didn't make it to PC, the UE4 engine is superb and I still like the old games. Going to play Arkham City again sometime, I remember very little of it.
Oh and the last time I read about Return to Arkham I thought it was a sequel to arkham origins, turns out I just forgot about the remasters :(

Sword Coast Legends. been in my library for a while and have not had time to give it a go. Reviews were not great at release but im enjoying it. Set in the same worls as Baldurs Gate, Icewind Dale, etc.. Seems a decent RPG game so far.

Started Psychonauts good game but I am having a few issues. First the textures were flickering when I was moving the camera but I easily sorted that by changing Anti Aliasing to Adaptive Multi-Sampling in Radeon settings.

Second problem I am having is it crashes if I pause the game and come back to it after a few minutes. I read to change the game to run in Windows 95 compatibility mode so I changed that but I haven't played the game since. Hopefully that works.

I also paused the game while I went to the kitchen to eat my dinner came back to the Windows log-in screen so the game must have crashed and rebooted the machine. Hopefully that never happens again last thing I want is for that to happen during gameplay.

Overall it is a fun game hopefully I can iron out some of these issues.

Be curious to know how you get on with the final couple levels. I swear it's got like a 50% "**** it, I'm never playing this again" dropout rate.

    395 Titles in my library.

    1 Perfect Game.

Currently playing Back to Bed (Great Freebie).

Just finished Sleeping Dogs. Enjoyed the hell out of it although the micro-stutter that was ever present in the PC version was a major pain in the ass and doubly annoying after the silky smooth 165fps I was able to enjoy DOOM at before it. :o

Ah don't tell me that. I am really enjoying it so far apart from a few hiccups like sometimes game crashing when I pause the game.

    Hopefully I can finish it.

If it's worth anything, I really dug the last stretch. That said, it's kinda like the marmite of game-enders. You're either "ah, that was grand" or "**** it, I'll watch the ending on Youtube."

PUBG, nice and refreshing playing an unforgiving game, gets my heart pumping.

Yeah I remember it being quite difficult at the end.

Back on Dirt Rally now, I'm driving an R4 Mitsubishi and it's more difficult than I remember the 80s/70s/60s cars. I was able to get through to the Masters career with the older cars but I'm consistently coming 3rd at professional difficulty in this car.
    60 hours played, great game.

Enemy Front, while looking for something brainless to play after finishing Wolfenstein: New World Order.

Horrible game. Graphically brilliant but plays like a cheap 2000's knock off of Call of Duty/Medal of Honor, nowhere near as playable as either (and I'm talking about the 2002/2003 originals).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,945 ✭✭✭✭Skerries

yeah played that and had to keep checking when it was made as it felt so dated for a new game and graphics weren't great either

Got through the first 4 chapters of Talltale: Batman yesterday, and really enjoying it. Can't wait to finish it off tomorrow (Star Trek tonight).

Gonna do the Borderlands one next, which is apparently excellent.

Total War: Warhammer - Trying to finish my empire campaign before the release of Warhammer 2 on Thursday which I'll be diving into then.

Still playing Sychonauts and really enjoying it but hit a wall so i said I will give myself a break. I am at the insane asylum and trying to get the items off the patients but finding it quite difficult. I will have a think about it and come back at it again.

Just to come back to this as I look quite stupid especially to people who played the game. I am still playing it and enjoying it immensely. The game worlds are amazing and so different from each other, but I stopped playing it that evening after posting that above post and was in bed and I just realized
that you go into those peoples heads with the doorway.
In order to receive items off them.
