I wouldn't know, I'll have to take your word for it. :)

It's shocking how often I've had a phone or console up for sale and been offered a car in exchange for it.

    "Swap car in add"

    .... no

Never knew 'baby cheese' was a thing, however im pretty sure you cant cook it with this.

Stumbled upon this interaction by Chance,, saw the particular person acting strange on several ads. Forever in the free section mentioning he/she has a baby. ****ing loopy

when selling games is it always necessary to stick to CEX prices?

Why would that even be a thing. If I have a game and want to put it up for sale for €100000 that's my business, same if I want to sell it for €0.01.

i've noticed some users are militant about it to the point of spoiling ads. ''oh its cheaper in CEX'' sometimes with no intention of buying.

I'm tempted to put up a couple of Pentium 3's for 100 quid each just to troll them

Why would anyone buy a game from a randomer for more than they'd pay in CEX, where they'd also get a warranty?

They may not even be able to get it CEX, plus theres a delivery charge if buying online so they'll be paying more anyway. Paying perhaps a couple more euro for convenience i guess.

Why do users keep asking are you travelling their way and it cost them €60 diesel when you offer a courier service for €10?

Sale agreed on my old smart phone 50 euro.

    Me: Where do you live?
    Him: Harolds Cross
Me: I'm in Brides Glen. I could get the luas to Ranelagh and meet you there.
Him: Why dont we just meet in Harolds Cross

Long story short he wanted me to walk the phone round to his house. If it was 400 I might have obliged, but not for 50 quid. I cancelled the sale and he left really bad feedback.

Ive 4 ads up at the moment but I might just switch to donedeal.

By the way, anyone want to buy a 2 terrabyte external hard drive? 45 quid...

My favourite is €5, non negotiable, collection only

    Offer: €5 incl postage.

    Or

    Offer: €5.
    Offer Accepted. Pm sent.
I can't collect, do you ever come to Kerry.

Well, people are muppets and it makes adverts.ie pretty unusable imo.

whats wrong with asking if someone is going your way. I often ask if they are a long way away .
I bought something off a guy from someplace 1/2hour west of limerick if he would be in limerick any time and I would meet him there. limerick is an hour away from me. he asked where I was and he told me he was going to Dublin next week and we met in Roscrea . no harm no foul. what harm is asking

(On an ad for a thong)

When I first saw it I thought Dans55 was just having the craic, or that he genuinely didn't realize that it was a sports shop and was just making sure the underwear were clean.

But looking in to his other comments, and the fact he didn't offer on the thong when he found out it was spotlessly clean, I think maybe he wasn't.

He/ she made an offer when he found out that this posing thong fits even the smallest of men.

And was too disappointed to make an offer when this baby doll nighty hadn't been worn before

I was too scared to look back further than the first page of his/her comments.

Done deal is better but i find that it is going the same way as adverts.
Lads texting about the ads and making stupid offers .
Whats the best you will do for cash today .
You give a figure and they offer a fraction of it .

Done Deal has no feedback system and is full of tyre kickers and scammers.

2 years on and little has changed. Lowball offers, 'whats your best price'. Basically adverts is a load of balls unless you

    Pay extra for priority advert
Are giving an 800euro item away for a fiver
And are going to walk to the buyers house to personally deliver

I’ve had very few issues on adverts. My main gripe would be that selling items for more than €100 can be a bit challenging at times.

I still find Adverts fine - the occasional tyre kicker but that's it.
