I was TA by the hairdresser trying to engage me in the mindless chatter, as they do.
Now, I know that it's just part of their job and it's probably a habit for them, after asking the same questions day in, day out, it nearly forms part of the job after a while. You know the usual - any plans for the weekend, any holidays planned etc.
So she was trying to engage me and I was answering her but I just have a lot on my mind at the moment so I'm sure I was giving off the vibe of not being interested. And I just hope she wasn't offended or felt cross after I left.

I never know if it's appropriate to say I want some peace and quiet in those situations as I feel like that would cause even more offence. Arrrggghhh brain melting!!
I know from experience that hairdressers/barbers/beauty therapist are OK with not talking, customers complain if such ppl DONT talk to them. As long as you are polite, most dont mind you saying I dont want to talk.

TA that people keep asking me where my dad is

I'm TA for you. Sticky Beaks/Nosy Parkers are my TA.

I'm inclined to feed them a load of BS,something like keep it to yourself but he's off shagging his mistress on her yacht in St Tropez.

Really really TA'd at some people. Blind man asking people to help him cross the road. Everyone walks by ignoring him. It takes 10 seconds max. Heartless b'stards. Yes, I helped.

    Good stuff Dr Nick.
I see a visually impaired man walking every morning and trying to negotiate his way past the cars strewn across footpaths who are leaving their spawn into school.
His mobility is excellent and doesn't need any help, but it'd be much handier if people where more thoughtful.

My sister in law is also visually impaired and nearly a day doesn't go by where she is scared by a cyclist breaking lights while she is on a pedestrian crossing.

TA's today because I woke up at 4.30am and couldn't go back to sleep. Ended up reading until my alarm went at 7am. Bloody wall-falling now.

Educated adults working in an office environment who don't know the meaning of the world hyphen, just spent about 4 minutes trying to explain to someone what it was. When he finally got it, he said I should just call it the minus sign like everyone else and drop the fancy hyphan sh*t.

It saddens me that this is now how people function in society. That people can just walk past somebody who not only needs help, but is asking for it. I'm still annoyed thinking about it.

I'm traumatised. I got my cartilage pierced about three months ago, and it was fine up until my boyfriend put his arm around me a week ago and hit it and it got a tiny tear. It's been sore since so I decided to take it out today. When I took it out it poured out blood. Ahh. Like a big hard bubble of blood just popped and it burst. Ahh. So I google wtf to do and everything I've read says under no circumstances take the piercing out. If it's infected it needs the hole to drain and removing the piercing will cause the hole to close and trap the infection. Fcukety fcuk! So I had to jam the earring back into the hard bloody hole! Paiiiiiiin. Trau.ma.tised.
To much fcuking blood today for me to handle. Might bleed to death by the end of the day.

I'm an extremely nervous flyer and gave up flying for years until last year when I did 2 return flights .During the week I stupidly allowed my friends to book a flight for me on my own because I couldn't get leave to go with them ...I was happy for about an hour but then it all hit me and I'm sick with nerves and anxiety since.I can't even look for my passport or pull out my summer clothes because I can't imagine and don't want to think about getting on the flight.I'm even worrying that the storms in the States will cause turbulence here...mad I know but I don't want to go now and they'll have a fit if I back out even though they know how bad I am on flights. Why the fcuk do I get into situations like this..so TAd at myself right now.
    Sorry for the rant.😭

Sorry to hear that you are so nervous Colser, I'm nervous flying on my own but that's just a social anxiety thing. Could you go to your GP and explain how nervous you are? They might be able to give you a sleeping tablet/sedative for the flight.
