TA'd that mostly single-occupancy car drivers think they're more important than other people on the road. Did it hold up your mad rush to the back of the next queue of cars for long?

It's annoying when you are in a multi occupancy car or a bus too.

Oh look another cyclist/motorist debate is going to kick off, may as well start a dole bashing thread too :D

I don't think it's a case of anyone being more important than anyone else. Why is it unreasonable to expect a lollipop lady to allow a number of children to build up instead of starting and stopping traffic for each child individually? It's hardly news that people in cars and other vehicles at that time of the morning (and evening for that matter) are under time pressure. Traffic starting and stopping on and off is frustrating so why not just let a few children build up to cross altogether? Sure they're not under pressure to be anywhere.

What makes you think I was in a car, never mind a single occupancy one. What makes you think I was in a "mad rush"? What makes you think there was a queue of cars in front? What makes you think that TA necessarily = feeling self-important?

I use public transport a lot actually and it is rare that I'd be in a single occupancy car for long periods.

TA I had lunch too early and now the afternoon seems endless.

I'm fine today, thanks. My imagination ran wild and I thought the worst in an entirely innocent situation. Annoying how powerful the mind can be, and how anxious thoughts and feelings can ruin your peace of mind. :o:rolleyes:

TA when the price is EX VAT and it's a lot higher at checkout, when two month old shows fall apart and when you drop the last plate and break it.

You would hate me, I work in a quarry and have to give prices to private customers that reps don't deal with, I'll tell them the ex vat price and when they get all happy with the price I drop the ex vat bit :pac:

Thanks for proving my point about the entitlement culture of many motorists beautifully - couldn't have done better myself.

My teenage son is now the same shoe size as me... this has not been a good few months for my previously pristine converse collection.

    Nooo, not the Converse !!!!!!

My TA is also shoe related. I had to throw out a pair of Clark's shoes that I must have had for 10 yrs. I loved them, very comfy and perfect for driving. The soles had worn so badly on them that I nearly went arse over tit a couple of times so they had to go. I nearly had a minutes silence at the wheelie bin for them so gutted I was :(

I love the "the" before Sean Kelly :pac: :pac:

My TA is that it's too warm to wear a coat but too cold to wear a jacket. What do I do with myself now? And don't even get me started on my bike gear, when do I make the change from leathers to textiles? It's too soon for during the day but it's bloody nippy some evenings!
And just to add - don't get me started on the changeable weather!! Lashing rain this morning, quite cool, now, the sun is beating down and it's roasting. You nearly need a wardrobe with you!

    At the doctor's office.
There is a mother here who keeps shouting at her child, who is over at the toy corner, to stop messing, that he's on his last warning etc, instead of getting up and going over to him, she keeps shouting across the waiting room at him because she's too engrossed in Facebook.

    Whaaaaaaat why?

I couldn't bring them with me when I moved out so I had to leave them with him. He won't let me see them because it would be too awkward to explain to any future girlfriend he has that I would be going to visit them. That was his retort anyway. Makes me so sad because I miss them more than anything in the world.

    Shopping online...

    Me: oooh that looks nice!

Me: yeah I like that, defo gonna have to buy that.

Me: wonder how much it is, bet it's loads, everything I like always turns out to be the most expensive thing on here.

    *looks for price*

Website: sorry this item is out of stock!

TA: websites listing items that are out of stock, FFS why are you listing items that I can't purchase :(

Just for future reference, cobblers can re-sole them. It usually costs a lot less than new shoes and saves the trouble of finding a new pair you like.

TA well I had three TAs in the last one so can I be excused...

Not if the original soles are made with that horrid type of rubbery plastic thingy that melts and crumbles when it gets old (I think it's polyurethane, but I stand to be corrected) - the cobbler can't remove them properly because they've been literally melted onto the shoe and attempting to remove them would leave too much residue behind, and the top part of the shoe has the wrong shape to take normal, good, old fashioned soles anyway.

My TA is these days a lot of shoes would have that type of crappy soles, and it's such an effing waste of money!

My 7yo got new clothes not too long ago, including his pants for the school uniform. Turns out this 7yo is now a size 9 years and I can basically refill his wardrobe again because nothing fits. His shoe size is an EU 35. I'm trivially annoyed that these monsters decide to grow like 10cm overnight.

I stood on the scales today for the first time in about 2months and I've lost some weight (not a TA).

I haven't been dieting or consciously watching what I eat but my TA is that all I want to do is 'celebrate' with a pizza... a whole one... all to myself!

TA at being in pain after going back to the gym after 3 weeks off and deciding to do a leg day. Tard move.
On the plus side, I gained a measly 3lbs after two weeks hols and one week home feeling sorry for myself with a miserable cold and having two supermacs, one chinese and one boojum in 5 days. It was as if eating was an olympic sport.

A wedgie - when you paid €5.99 for a pair of knickers, and it feels like a fiver of it is stuck between your bum cheeks!

TA - don't blame me for the way you reacted to a scenario, if you don't like the decision you made then consider why you thought it was ok to lie and screw over everyone else when you thought you would win

I thought the second part was part of your reply to Jimmy
