Updated forecast and brief video from this morning

Update on forecast for coming days focusing on Electric Picnic in Stradbally with a video from this morning.

Tomorrow will be a good day with sunny spells and up to 19c in a light Northwest breeze.

Tomorrow evening will turn cool and by tomorrow night it will turn cold, it could get down to 5c! So you will want warm clothes.

Saturday then will start off nice and dry with some early fog clearing to sunny spells and climbing to about 18c. Cloud will increase in the afternoon and it will feel humid in a strong Southerly breeze.

Rain then will arrive around 7pm and will be light at first but it will get heavy later in the evening but staying humid and breezy, so rain gear but not warm clothes will be needed, up to 10mm is possible so wellies may be needed.

Sunday then will see even milder air arrive and the band of rain should clear by around 9am. Then there will see a mix of dry spells and showers, some showers could be heavy, up to 21c in light breeze.

Warm Sunday night into Monday with some showers.

Video from near the site this morning before the fun begins, enjoy if you are heading to Stradbally and if not, well enjoy the dry bed Saturday night :D

Another packing up here post....(with a bit off gushing!!) Really looking forward to it and this thread is my hype machine, I share with my missus and bro and sis in law, none of whom get excited about it, they have little interest in discovering music, ( Don't get me wrong, they are fun and we have a good time) but they don't get interested in who's playing and fall into the "the line up is ****e" family, and don't talk about Facebook, so much negativity, I wasn't even looking forward to last year with a week to go until I logged on to the thread, you lot are a treasure and transform the picnic for me, real positivity here, hyped to fck for tmw now! Have a great one!!

Last post pre-Picnic. It's been a pleasure reading all your recommendations and insights over the last year. Informative & humorous stuff and I look forward to the next 12 months of it. I must particularly mention Bodhrandude, Scruff, Arne, Pablo, Tago & MJohnson. But you've all been great & I hope you have a deserved wonderful weekend.
Am already looking forward to the Monday reviews.

Have we decided when we're going to go kicking teenagers? Or are we just going to do it randomly?

All packed, vodka in the plastic, cider in the fridge it's better than Christmas eve.

Quick question: If you have a family camping ticket can you enter through the general entrance as I will not be camping.

Will I be able to drive into Stradbally village itself tomorrow morning, or do I face redirection? Not bothered by what car park I end up in but need to meet someone there.

All packed and ready. We'll be on the road straight after we drop the kids to school in the morning. Weather is looking better than it did yesterday so all hail the weather Gods. Be good to us oh heavenly clouds, for we are good people. Enjoy everyone :)

Think you need to be local or have family camping. Not sure they actually check the tickets though

Just going around throwing thanks at everyone's posts left right and centre. You're a fab bunch, it'll be funny not knowing if any of us will be standing next to one another at any point over the weekend( for those that don't know eachother )
    Much love!

Just as I thought I was all set and had escaped all mishaps and illness (do genuinely feel sorry for those of you with recently broken bones/ colds and flues this week- I haven't been well with a chronic condition for the past few years and this has been my best picnic health to date) I went and did the most ridiculous thing possible this evening and have burned my arse SO badly that I genuinely can't sit down.

Before anyone says it, I'm well aware sun-beds are a stupid and ridiculous move. I generally wouldn't go near one BUT I made a once off exception and decided to- because I was away in the sun for a couple of weeks recently and got a lovely colour. I have a wedding next week and a big work function the week after that. In my wisdom, I thought that a couple of once off sunbed sessions this week and next to keep my lovely holiday colour for these events would be ok. I promised I'd never do it again.

Went this evening after work. Did 6 minutes lads. 6 minutes.

My tan is topped up wonderfully. On the areas that had previously built up a tan.

What I didn't factor in was the fact that my arse didn't receive any colour on hols. I didn't lie bare arsed on the beach.

The result- beetroot red bum. I'm not exaggerating- it's horrendous.

I showed my husband this evening and the helpful bastard just cried laughing.

I've been moisturising the ****e out of it but it's not working.
^^ ("ive been moisturising the ****e out of my arse all night and it's not working" with that statement I've hit a new low in life)

I wouldn't care if it wasn't EP weekend but - here's my problem. (Pain aside! I'll numb that with cans!) My stock of go to, comfy festival clothes mainly comprises of shorts, leggings and jeans.

The burn is from the bottom of my cheeks (you are welcome) to waist level. I just can't cope with a waistband right now. I tried a few different options tonight but it's agony.
I'm going to have to wear a dress. A ****ing dress to EP. None of my dresses are the particularly cool festival type dresses either SO - to cut a VERY long story short- should you see a girl, with seriously formal attire/ and an over dressed appearance (complete with wellies and a woolly jumper) that's me.

Please feeel free to come over and buy me a drink cos it's my birthday on Saturday but please don't mention my arse in person because I'll get embarrassed.

In nicer news, secured the day off tomorrow and, like Synode- will be heading to Stradbally as soon as we drop the kids to school/ I get the arse moisturised again.

Amazing what a few hours can do- am all packed and organised.
    Am SO excited now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
