    Well, Midnight Tuesday. So technically it's both. So long as you have the Digital version that is.

    Yep, Monday and Tuesday in work, rest of the week off, back in the following Monday.

    Can't wait. The wife is well aware I may as well be in another country for the duration so happy days!

    Yeah, closed beta started at 6pm yesterday and I think open is today at the same time.

    Yeah the Blizzard app, Battle.net or whatever it's called now.

    It's back to being Battle.net. It will be the only way to play Destiny on PC, no Origin, Steam or Windows Store versions.

    Hope to try it out tonight. My GPU is the only thing holding me back really from recommended specs. Should still be decent enough though.

    Yeah, I rang mine (Drogheda) and they don't think they'll be doing it either. Chap I was speaking to said Midnight Launches are based on pre-order numbers, well, they are one of the deciding factors, and said that it would be unlikely for D2, though should keep an eye on their website, just in case.

    I've to drop the kids to school on Wednesday anyway so I'll fly down to them then and collect.

    Same in Cork (Wilton) and from the sounds of it, he didn't seem confident of it happening in Cork City Centre either.

    Said it was down to most people going digital now-a-days that opening for mid-night to ensure you secured a copy is a relic of the past.
    Makes even more sense for games like this with midnight releases and pre-downloading. Only reason to be in the store is the collectors editions. And i'd be surprised if there's more than 5x of them per store, and those are not really 1st come 1st served, they are probably distributed to the stores based on online orders.
    I don't think if a store has 1 pre-ordered Collectors edition they are getting 5 in stock for 4 other people to pick up randomly

    That you're able to download well in advance of release is a big plus. Wouldn't like to be downloading at midnight from the PSN servers.

    There'll still be a day one patch anyway, so yeah, still reliant on PSN.

    Hopefully. I still haven't decided to go for the digital copy too. Only benefit is the preload. Is that worth 70 quid? Most of which could be recouped by selling the disc from CE. :confused::confused:
