Posting Package 2kg to Australia - Clothes value €950

    Hi,

    I need to post a package, approx 2kg in weight to Australia. It is clothes - an irish dancing dress, for a child, value of the dress is €900

    Can you recommended what is the best way to post it and also will the receiver have to pay import duty ?

    Just standard an post, or register it. Mark it as a gift with no commercial value. You won't get insurance to that value anyway. No duty due on arrival

    Under $1000AUD and there is no customs to pay. Might be worth paying a bit extra for tracking. Parcels to australia are woefully slow now...expect it to take 2 - 3 weeks.
