    Going at least 150Kmh

I'd say closer to 200 km/h, and most likely beyond

Which in old money is approx 120mph, and on any half decent performance machine is easily achieved.

Can't set speed limits based on the vehicle without opening the can of worms of road worthiness also. There's a limit and hopefully he was clocked somewhere and put off the road.

You're just jealous because your cage can't go so fast so you wish for them to be taken off the road. Autobahn has exactly the same roads and there is no speed limit and everyone is doing fine. The tyrants who created the speed limits know nothing about motor vehicles and more than likely use a bus for their transport so 200 for them is a huge number. You should start thinking for yourself instead of following the government who don't know what they are doing. There should be minimum speed limits not maximum. Most crashes are cause by factors other than speed such as updating Facebook status. I get that every single time I go out on the motorbike, I have to dodge drivers on their phones so they are a bigger risk than speed.

I wholeheartedly agree with bikes being allowed to go whatever speed they want. There is always a shortage of organ donors

You're right there, 200 km/h is a huge number. While it may be ok for the bike rider to handle that speed other road users can kill the rider as they aren't expecting to see something hurtling towards them at that speed and misjudge the time they have to make their manouvere.

I'd take Synthol fully committing to his long term joke persona over someone trotting out the organ donor line about bikers every day of the week.

that's exactly what it is. If the speed limit is 100 km/h no one expect a vehicle coming from behind with 200+ km/h

I'd be interested to know what would happen if someone was doing 200kph on a bike and I changed into their lane in front of them. Am I in the wrong as I have to give way to traffic already in the lane, or is the biker in the wrong for doing double the limit? Its unlikely you'd see the bike from checking the mirror and even if you did, it may appear to have plenty of road to cover if you assume they're sticking to the limit.

Either way, that kind of speed on the M50 especially is insane. Anyone with any prior experience on it will know that random unnecessary lane changes are all too common, as is people entering the motorway and heading straight to lane 3, even at night when there's flip all else around.

Genuine question - what are the accident statistics for the unrestricted Autobahns? How can you safely change lanes if someone may be coming from behind at 200km/h, and if it results in an accident who is held to be to blame (though you'll likely both be dead anyway)?

the autobahn is a bad comparison - the fact that they are unrestricted, means that people on them are aware that there may be traffic hooning up the overtaking lane, and so will look for those speeds.

Here there arent limitless speeds, so people wont look as carefully (in some cases they literally cant, as the road turn/gradient may obscure something travelling that fast)

another suicidal aspect of the video people didnt mention - how bloody dark it is. Bike headlights are pretty garbage in my experience. You wont see the fox or discarded 2x4 that sends you airborne till its milliseconds in front of you at that speed

Trouble in this country is that i have had several trips from Dublin to Cork where at times you didnt see anyone for 30 mins and could indeed safely have been doing 200 km\h+
I have als had some idiot sitting in "the fast lane" on that same road, doing 100 km\h and had to flash him out of that lane to overtake him and looking in my rear view mirror see him going back in "the fast lane".

So, some roads might be fine for going faster than 120 km\h here, a horrific amount of motorists aren't. Just look at that twat reversing blindly into the road a few posts up.

Arra, me own cage is a relatively quick one now. It'll do the zoom and boom with the best of 'em, with fire coming out the back....

Facebook and texting is a ****ing fiend. And work has made me so bad at using the phone it's not funny.

But there comes a point where you're taking the piss - and that's usually about them time I'm putting someone elses life in danger. If I'm on me own and I wreck it, so it goes What an eejit and all that. I amn't too keen on accidentally hurting someone else though.

This happened to me this morning. Did'nt have time to blow horn. I was wary of her and waiting for her to cross lane ahead, not across my nose on roundabout. Full ABS came on
