McGeeney I think is the oldest at 31 so yeah he'd be making a bit of history if he pulled it off. Still at least one massive game to go though, can't get ahead of ourselves as much as I'd like to!

    A good attitude to adopt.
It hasn`t been as much in evidence in recent years, but I know from some of the Mayo players I knocked around with in the past that some of the exuberance from fans could be a bit distracting for the players coming up to a final.
Let the fan enjoy this by all means, they fully deserve too from the great support they have given this particular team, but hopefully they will be reticent that the panels total focus has to be now on the final and nothing else.
Ye will have all winter to wreck their heads when the job is done :D

    Colm Boyle deservedly named MOTM.

He and Higgins brought the Mayo attack to Kerry when a few were being a bit tentative . The rest need to follow that example if the situation calls for it again .

Only coming down now, absolute euphoria

A watershed moment aswell in that it's the first time we've really won a game as outsiders. We have immense momentum and couldn't be coming into a final better

How bad were Kerry? :D when you tear into them like we did they look bang average

    Intensity, desire, grit, determination

    I couldn't be prouder

    The job is nearly done
Want about the noise at the end !
Plan B will be needed in 3 weeks my friends
    GO TO PLAN B

    Lol at Donaghy :D

Some things really do never change.

    Great player but completely classless

Darran O'Sullivan too was an embarrassment. They were completely rattled today

I really do think this could be our best ever day since 51

We'll need to get a couple of decent challenge matches for the next two weekends.

Jason Doherty was great . He stood up and took the frees .

He may be even a good option for the longer ones as Cillian has to really push the boat out for the long ones .

He slotted that 45 over with ease.

He looked very good, much less than effort required by him than Cillian.

So impressed with Jason today, and all year. He's been immense and had another manly performance today. Stepped up when needed.

He ( Doherty )is a tough guy too......

Players have to be careful not to get silly cards but you still have to show that you won't be pushed around .

One thing that has always stood out about Jason is his strength. He's a brilliant tackler and ball winner, always has been. Does well under pressure too. Very impressed with him today.

Thanks for reminding me. that last portion of chips I had was very salty.

Yeah it's a no brainer surely - Doherty for 45s. Cillian isn't comfortable with them.

Anything out of the hands - cillian

It's tough to keep a lid on it, I wasn't expecting much going into the final last year but I have a serious amount of optimism since before the FBD league even got underway that I can't really explain, just had the feeling all year we'd be back this September for another bite and looks what's after happening. Rochford is tactically miles ahead of any manager we've had in my relatively short lifetime, he's not afraid to make big calls and even though he got one badly wrong last year, he hasn't lost that courage. I feel that we're going to head into the final as prepared as we possibly could be for whoever we come up against.

Whatever happens, I'm just delighted with the state of the county team at the moment and I'll enjoy it as long as it lasts, whether we win the holy grail or not.

Seamus O Shea deserves an honourable mention as well.

Shipped a bit of criticism for last day, but really stood up well today.

Why did O'Sullivan get sent off

I'd need to rewatch it but it seemed at the time a blatant check on a runner. That's exactly what they need to stamp out

We need to organize some kind of a mayo game before the final final for Seamie to get the bad game out of the way :D

    I'm worried about Donie
He was a massive Massive loss when he went off just like in replay last year
I fear it's concussion again which won't be good

Does anyone know if the match will be repeated anywhere on TV? Or if there is any recap anywhere on TV? (I know where to get it online but am looking for it on TV for my grandparents to watch or record)

    Thanks

20 years a coming but a great team effort with Boyle being outstanding and Jason Doherty doing well when asked to step up at a vital time of the match. Wasn't too happy though with us standing off the Kerry team once we had a sizeable lead. It more than made up for 'limerickgate'

How do people feel the ref fared out? A lot of stoppages i thought. Seemed hard on both sides. And a yellow for everyone in the audience. Lol

i actually think when we watch it back it'll look much more comfortable than it seemed at the time. Kerry were always going to throw the kitchen sink. I think we showed super nous and experience to see it out

The only blatant heart in mouth moment was Aido criminally letting Donaghy get goal side at one stage for a high ball. Thankfully Boyler blocked it on the line
