    One more day.

    One more sleep :D

I'm hoping that there is no change to the starting 15.

i came across an article on facebook last night re the o shea debate - and to my surprise, it said 15 balls were kicked long into donaghy, 2 were won by aido, and, of the 13, only 1 didnt lead to a score (iirc) if thats accurate, then it has changed my mind. although, he did make a spectacular block against a definite point in the 2nd half

I guess there's a big difference now in selecting AOS at 3 compared to last week.

It really didn't work that well and Mayo survived. Donaghy helped create goals and points, it wasn't as spectacular as catching a high ball and scoring or a direct lay off, but he still contributed to a significant amount of scores.

So IMO , it was worth a shot and it didn't work.
Try something different because shutting down Donaghy and Andy Moran are the two very obvious goals for each team now imo.

AOS at 3 wasn't foolish last week but I think it would be tomorrow.

What was foolish was assuming Kieran Donaghy is a one dimensional player, which he's not. Aidan is not a tight marker, understandably since he's not a defender and Donaghy exploited this. He didn't need high balls going in to him all the time because he has more to his skillset than just catching a high ball, as he showed on Sunday.

It worked to the extend that when O Shea was in at FB no high balls did any damage, (the one that did was when he was stranded out on the sideline), but it didn`t really curb Donaghy`s contribution.

The questions for Mayo are imo :

    1. Leave O Shea on him as Sunday.
    2. Leave O Shea there and have someone else track Donaghy when he
    roams out.
    3. Use another tall player similar to point 2 that would allow O Shea to
    operate around the middle third.
    4. Single man mark him with someone like Vaughan

Which team will have the 'curve ball' with tactics/formation tomorrow?

Will it be an Eamon Fitzmaurice stroke of genius or a Stephen Rochford leap of desperation?

How long would extra time be? I'm trying to work out the latest time it could finish?

Agreed. For such a big man, he is very nimble, very quick on his feet, has amazing reflexes, great vision, quick hands and he distributes the ball very intelligently. He is also is very, unselfish. There is no way Mayo were going to just eliminate all those attributes, just by sticking someone on him, who is roughly the same size as him.

I would have my doubts Maher will start.

Walsh listed to start certainly doesn`t make them any weaker.

I can see him starting. Barry a better sub to be bringing on vs Maher.

Starting Walsh is a massive risk. I think it might just show a glimmer of panic in the Kerry ranks. That half forward line is weak, they were on the end of the goal chances last week but contributed very little outside of that.

Can't see why it is considered panic if he's fit and able to play, he will strengthen the squad.

They badly needed Walsh last week and unless his leg was falling off, I think they were always going to name him this time round

It's hardly panic. Donnacha was in tracksuit and jogging around prematch. He wasn't far away from fitness. He is a guaranteed starter when fit. No different from Keegan starting the last day after his injury.
