    Hello all :)

I post first time here as I am not long in Ireland. I study at the moment law and through research I find some articles about delays in computer investigation. I know how some case can face delays but I find many more articles about 4, 5 , 6 year delay in this type of case. I look at other countries and I don't find the same problem. Why is this so?

Delays in what kind of cases? What do you mean by computer investigation?

This is the emergency forum where people discuss emergency services e.g. ambulances etc.

If you put your head in the sand and don't invest in the job this is the outcome.

Although the Garda Modernisation Programme has a whole chapter dedicated to tackling cybercrime it does not seem to be moving along at the required rate as evidenced by your article and the likes of this one.

It is a shame as there are many gardai who have the interest and qualifications to take this on. As foreign says investment is the real problem.

I think Legal discussion would be a better forum for this topic.
