    It's probably just dehydrated and disoriented

    Found a pigeon last year and entered my details on one of those sites. Heard nothing back.
    Kept the pigeon in a box with some water and bird food for 24 hours, released it and it flew away never to be seen again.

    Found this website which may be of some use. The list of current reported stray birds is pretty recent anyway.
