Best airline miles / reward credit card (Ireland)

    Hi guys,
    I only found old threads in regards of it and thought I ask if someone has any more recent, good experiences?
    Although I dont have a credit card and dont really want/need one, but I would be interested in the ones that offer Airline-miles rewards.
    Can anyone let me know what CC they use and if they are happy with it? I googled but I would rather listen to personal experiences first before randomly signing up for a CC and get stung then.

    No such cards are offered in Ireland.

    The Bank of Ireland Business Gold Mastercard gets you lounge access if flying with Aer Lingus but no points

    Any Bank of Ireland credit card can be linked to Supervalu Real Rewards and then transferred to Aer Lingus Avios and finally to the more useful British Airways Avios but the earning rates aren't great.

    oh wow, thats a real pain so.
    so we basically have no chances at all to get a CC like that? probably hard enough to have one from a provider in a different country..

    Not really, EU law allows citizens to bank with any country now if the institution is willing to set it up. I'm using a German bank, could get a Dutch one if I wished.

    A reward scheme could be introduced but I'm not sure if it matches the low overhead model of smart banks.
