Galway <> Athlone private bus

Is anyone aware of a private bus service between Galway and Athlone? Google tells me there's a Midland Bus Co that does that route (via Ballinasloe and Loughrea) but I can't find any info about it.

Citylink do a multi stop service, other than that it's Bus Éireann or Iarnród Éireann

This too shall pass.

I was hoping for a cheaper private operator but those do seem to be the only options.
