Ealy isn't doing to great either apparently. There was talk of him being cut because of issues on and off the field. I can see a trade happening at some point for a DE out there. When you look at the depth and injuries on paper it looks like a weak depth for pass rushing. Our DBs will be busy that is for sure.

Yeah we need to pick up a pass rushing DE at some point either through trade or FA.

The only FAs available are Mario Williams and Dwight Freeney, so barring signing them a trade seems more likely.

On a lighter note, Barstool Sports have upped the number of Goodell Clown towels to 70,000 for opening night.

We've put together an offense that for me is even more exciting than the 2007 version. And Brady being Brady, can only make that exciting for the year ahead. Throw in having a back up like Jimmy G and it really is a great luxury to have. Nice for once to see a little tilt more to offense than defense this year. Certainly is the least Brady deserves for all his service imo.

    Non-contact too.

Looks like every other non-contact ACL tear you've seen.

I guess there good our WR roster spot tough decision

Oh, and another missed PAT for Gost.

No worries with Ghost for me anyways.

Worried for Edelman but if he is out for a while then I guess we will keep Carr and get a good look at him in real action.

I'm not so sure its very serious with Julian.

Looks to be a torn ACL and he's done for the year.

Still reckon we have the firepower to go all the way again, but I love Jules and feel terrible for him.

I just watched it there and three plays before that he catches a pass and looks like he is winching when he gets up. It looks like he had tweaked it before he did the damage.

Makes that Cooks trade all the more important now. Gronk needs to stay healthy this year now.

    Ealy released.

That was a disaster all round.

Terrible news about Edelman. Hopefully he makes a full recovery.

Not really, they only moved down something like 8 spots for the trade. Low risk, high upside. At least they made the decision early, best for the team and best for him.

I don't mean the trade, I just mean Ealy as a Patriot in general. Just didn't fit in from day one, and it says a lot that he's being cut when we're threadbare at the position.

If you're worried about major opposition from the Patriots to the Goodell clown flags making it into Gillette or Kraft's stance on it....here's Kraft doing a pizza review with the guy who bought the 30k clown flags.

    Major FU to Roger.

I see the Jets picked up Kony Ealy on waivers, poor bastard!

Any chance Edelman could be put on IR with a designation to comeback since you can assign two players to it this year? I presume an ACL tear is a 6+ month recovery.

Pretty sure that rule changed a year or 2 ago and the designation doesn't exist anymore. You don't have to designate that they can return anymore, you can wait and see how they recover and then bring him back if it's looking good. If not, bring back someone else, or no-one if they're all struggling.

Apparently the fish are open to offers on Landry. Be a nice replacement for Jules.

I'd like to see Carr get a chance with Julian out.

Ditto, he seems like the kind of guy who'll Brady would target often over time.

    Losing Edelman is a blow.
Last year there seemed to be some unusual drops, but still a big player for us, and maybe the best option when needing to pick up that 1st down when 3rd and 10. His punt returns also are a factor, esp if Danny is expected to step up.
It's not the biggest player to lose, as this year it seems we are best prepared to lose him; but it's an early hit and players aren't going to get healthier.
We're not the only team to lose someone, so we're in the same boat as others.

JE11 is one of our big time players who come up big in the big games more often then not, (The catch for one!) he is going to be sorely missed :(

The Goodell clown towel opening day movement is picking up steam.

This a billboard on Route 1 which is basically the only road into Gillette stadium.

I'm as excited for Goodell to get laughed at on opening night as I am for the game.

Saw that sign this morning only thing is Goodell gets flown in by helicopter so he wont see it.

This whole movement is so dumb at this point. Time to get over ourselves and move on. Taking shots at Goodell is never going to change him and he will never leave because of it so what is the point anymore? Besides he loves the attention.
