It would have been brilliant (and more believable) if they had the Knight King raise his arms like in Hardhome and the dragon came out of the ice. The only reason I can think that they didn't do this is budget constraints. The chains were stupid. The wights fell in the lake and couldn't fight but somehow they can now swim underwater and use their skills to chain the dragon *rolls eyes*.

Who said that they swam?? They may have walked out from the shore into the water.

True, and if the last couple of episodes have taught us anything from Jaime and Jon's experiences, it's that sinking to the depths in Westerosi waters isn't as finite as you'd think.

Resurrecting Beric, again, would be ridiculous in my book. He's a nothing character.

I agree with ya but Melisandre might still have a part to play as shes the only other red priest that we know of, around and the lord of light has been mentioned by Beric and Melisandre, even if the Hound thinks hes probably c**t. :D

On a second viewing on a better quality torrent, it stuck out to me that Littlefinger seemed a little off when talking to Sansa, which led me to second guess had Arya killed him and taken his face to question Sansas motives?

I dont think theres much in it but he did seem a little quirkey, even for his standards.

Dragons like the direwolves are nothing but expendable filler which is unfortunate as they are more interesting than many of the main characters on the show lol

Ever watch the lord of the rings films?

9 hours in total. They didn't walk to mordor in 9hours. It took a year.
Wish people would get over the time / convenience thing. It's a fantasy show.

Yeah I think it was posted/made the time he saved Bran and Meera. But I think posting it again would be a spoiler that he shows up in the leaked episode.
Where did you get your degree in Dragon Physiology and Anatomy?? :D:D:D

Hey if you're not spending 10 hours a week doing your own research into this sort of stuff, you're not a true GoT fan!

How does she manage to grow to the size of the person she has killed and whose face she has taken?

    Anyone?

I counted nine in one long shot, then there were more in a later scene. "They're wearing red Star Fleet uniforms" I said to my wife. And sure enough they were, as they dropped one by one. They were just nameless characters there to emphasise how dangerous it all was.

I know I thought that as well, but Aiden Gillen really struggles to play the same Littlefinger every episode. At first I thought it was to do with his character being changeable, but now I think it's just bad acting.

I think it's safe to assume she's not just cutting off someone's face and sellotaping it over her own and that there is some sort of magic involved.

Being a fantasy show shouldn't make a bit of difference, unless the characters have superpowers. Better writing should make these criticisms moot.

Im assuming its some sort of magic, it was never properly explained during her endless time in Braavos wsahing bodies and getting beaten up by the waif but if I was guessing, magic would be it.

Its a fantasy show but a fantasy show that's created its own boundaries over the past 6 years and is going far outside those boundaries this season.

Its probably explained better in the books but I reckon because you've made an offering to the many faced gods, that when you put on the face, you become the physical embodyment of the offering you've given up, through magic or shapeshifting, or some such.

I'm spitballing with that theory though. :o

The show created those boundaries therefore can adjust them as they see fit.

It's clear you can blame the shortened season for this but at the same time it shouldn't be a barrier to enjoying the story just cos it's bending a time taken rule.

I'd agree with that. It's more than just wearing the face and trying to speak like them. I think you physically become that person, height and all.

Remember too that the faceless man could appear to take any size of shape male or female.

It doesn't bother me that much but I completely understand the complaints. The show runners established their own rules and have broken them completely recently. Its not the same TV show. Recall back to a few seasons ago when an entire season was spent watching Arya and Sandor Clegane traveling around. That would have taken 5 minutes in the current season. That was character driven rather than plot driven. We are seeing an ocean worth of plot development with the depth of a puddle.

I'd personally have found it perfectly reasonable for the company on the lake to have been rescued by the Millennium Falcon.

When the show says that Gendry can travel 400 kilometers through snow in a day, I say, "cool, but why didn't he use his super powers to destroy the wights to begin with?"

The show didn't say that. Not even close.

Tbh I prefer it this way. It's is show in previous seasons took a really long time to tell not an awful lot. I found it plodding a few times and was it season 3 that was really just a load of filler? It is a shame there's only 7 episodes. this season of all of them deserved a full spread of 13 or even 15 episodes to do it justice. But here we are.

Riiiiiiiiiight. We're after very different things in that case. You wouldn't care about half the characters if it had this pace from the start.
